ABC in turmoil: Unusual Moment – Whoopi Goldberg of The View ‘C0LLAPSES’ live on air. The truth sh0cks the TV audience!
Sound the alarm: The View has weathered yet another moment of Full Goldberg Collapse™ during a live broadcast.
After previously feigning losing consciousness over a wide range of issues in the recent past, Whoopi Goldberg once again lowered her head to the Hot Topics table on Wednesday’s telecast — this time moments after cohost Sara Haines compared her favorite sweet snack to drugs and Joy Behar weighed in after missing an important part of the conversation.
Things appeared to be going as well as possible as Goldberg welcomed her colleagues back to the program following a commercial break, when she introduced a discussion about younger Americans taking classes on how to perform everyday adult tasks “because they never learned life skills like changing a tire,” she said.
Haines then compared the development to her own experience with home economics class in high school, where she “learned how to make a pillow” and “also puppy chow, which [were] delicious treats.”
Matt Rogers jokes about ‘little View conflict’ with Joy Behar: ‘Felt like I’d really made it!’

Why Sunny Hostin isn’t on ‘The View’ this week — and when she’ll return to the Hot Topics table

Goldberg then cut in with a staunch warning: “Wait, wait, wait,” she said as an alarmed Haines asked, “You guys know what puppy chow is?” before exclaiming, “It’s delicious. It’s a bit like cr@ck. Sorry, probably can’t say that either.”
Goldberg then cautioned Haines, “Can you explain that you’re not talking about puppy chow, because I guarantee you tomorrow they’re going to say you ate dog food.”

Sara Haines attempts to revive Whoopi Goldberg on ‘The View’.ABC
Behar then promptly asked, “Is it for dogs?” inadvertently sending a cosmic ripple across the table and triggering Full Goldberg Collapse™.
Exasperated, the 69-year-old’s head slowly descended down toward the table’s surface, with the audience laughing as Haines reached over and rubbed Goldberg’s back, ultimately reviving her back to life for the remainder of the show.
Wednesday’s development marks the latest in a growing number of things that have made Goldberg fall forward toward the Hot Topics table or backwards in her moderator chair. Since the beginning of 2025, Goldberg has tipped over in reaction to everything from Donald Trump to Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck.
