Multiple sources have shared how Sunny is “being groomed to take over as the show’s lead moderator”.
The transition is even said to be underway, with the “writing on the wall”.
A senior show insider has told Rob Shuter’s Substack: “The writing’s on the wall.
“The network knows The View needs a refresh — someone younger, more engaged, and more connected to the next generation. Sunny checks every box.”

Although the transition hasn’t been confirmed, there are some telling signs on the show that seemingly reveal it has begun behind-the-scenes.
When the ladies were chatting about sexless marriages this week, Whoopi shut down the topic by saying: “It’s early in the morning,” complete with a bone-chilling stare.
According to Rob Shuter’s insiders, the viral moment got around the building with it fast becoming a hot topic.
The insider said: “Sunny was steering the conversation. Whoopi looked checked out. That’s become the pattern.”
