Bills Mafia has rallied around Mark Andrews following the harsh reactions to his costly drop on Sunday night.
The Baltimore Ravens tight end is being blamed for his team’s exit after failing to secure what would have been a game-tying two-point conversion against Buffalo late in the contest. Andrews has reportedly received multiple death threats over the drop.
According to MLFootball, Bills fans have reacted to this by starting a GoFundMe to raise money for the player’s charity, which supports juveniles suffering from diabetes.
“This is truly awesome from #BillsMafia, helping raise money for a great cause in honor of Andrews,” the account claimed.
The Ravens Had Mark Andrews’ Back After He Ducked Out On The Media
Mark Andrews didn’t have much to say for himself after Sunday’s game. In fact, he didn’t have anything to say for himself, given that he was not available to the media following the loss.
His teammates and coach had his back, however.
Quarterback Lamar Jackson, who made some costly mistakes himself, defended the pass-catcher, refusing to blame his teammate for the loss as he took responsibility.
Head coach John Harbaugh claimed that there’s no one else on the team who fights as hard or cares more than the star tight end. “We wouldn’t be here without Mark Andrews,” Harbaugh insisted.
“I’m proud of him just like I’m proud of all the guys,” he added.
With the Ravens coming up short in the playoffs yet again, the Bills will be the ones going to the AFC Championship Game, where they will face the defending champs, the Kansas City Chiefs.
The fixture is scheduled for this coming Sunday at 6:30 p.m. ET.
