TOWIE’S Ella Rae Wise and ex Dan Edgar have cut ties and are no longer on speaking terms after her stint on Celebrity Big Brother.

The Sun revealed Ella, 24, had ended her on/off relationship with Dan, 34, just a week before entering the house, which left the Dancing On Ice star “blindsided”.

It has now been revealed that Ella and Dan have decided to distance themselves further and have even unfollowed each other on social media, in a bid to keep things civil among the cast.

A source said: “Dan was obviously not happy about the rumours of her trying to have a showmance and wanted to cut ties.

“While she was in the house, Dan had some time to think clearly and realised he needed to distance himself from Ella when she returned to Ess3x.

“Ella was hoping they could be friends after the split and thought he would still support her, but he didn’t.”

The insider said Dan has been questioning their whole relationship and came to the conclusion that they needed to stay clear of each other for him to move on.

“He believes that her intentions for dating him weren’t right and feels she never really liked him,” they continued.

“Ella lives a luxury lifestyle and wants someone who spoils her and Dan didn’t do that, so in the end it wasn’t going to work.

“The best thing for them to do is distance themselves from each other as it’s clear they can’t be friends.

“Ella’s even gone as far as to say that she doesn’t want to film scenes with Dan going forward.

The Sun have reached out to Dan and Ella’s rep for comment.

It comes after The Sun revealed that Ella dumped boyfriend Dan Edgar in a bid to have a “fake showmace” in Celebrity Big Brother.

A source told The Sun that Ella, 24, had set her sights on Love Island’s Chris before she had even split from Dan, 34.

They said that Ella wanted to be part of a “CBB love story” in order to “boost her chances of staying longer” on the ITV fly-on-the-wall show.

A source told The Sun: “Ella had already been telling pals over the past few weeks that she didn’t see a long-term future for Dan.

“It was clear their relationship was nearing the end and with Ella having managed to land CBB, she knew she wanted to give producers what they were after.”

They explained that Ella was aware that she is not as well know as some of the other housemates and knew she needed a romance storyline to secure the votes.

“She’s a smart girl and knows exactly how this industry works and why she makes good TV and with being one of the lesser known names on the cast, Ella told pals that she thought an on-screen romance would boost her chances of staying in the house long-term,” they said.

“As soon as she heard Chris Hughes would be living with her, she targeted him to be her next TV lover.

“There’s a reason her opening VT was all about flirting as she’s desperate to be part of the next CBB love story.”

CBB fans hit out at Ella for “playing a game” on the show as she failed to strike up a romance with Chris.

It comes after The Sun revealed that Dan told pals that he’d thought the break-up was pretty friendly until seeing her bragging about being “flirty” on her VT for the reality show.

At the time, a friend told The Sun: “They were still chatting after the big row on Wednesday as had both agreed it just wasn’t working.

“But everything was pretty amicable.

“They were just chatting as normal, the odd text and that, and spoke on Sunday just before she went into lockdown.

“But he was blindsided by the comments she made about being such a flirt last night, and how she flirted with everyone constantly, as that’s just not nice to hear.”

Speaking exclusively to The Sun just hours before she entered the nation’s most famous house, Ella confirmed the end of their 18 month relationship.
