Emmerdale fans think they know who will bring down villain John Sugden.
John, portrayed by Oliver Farnworth and who joined the popular ITV soap last year, has been concealing his true nature behind a veil of dark secrets which were exposed to viewers last week.
Soap watchers will recall that Anthony Fox is the late abusive father of Ruby Miligan with Ruby killing Anthony earlier this year.
So far, the Miligans and some of the Dingle family are helping to hide the truth about Anthony’s ‘disappearance’ with Aaron Dingle’s husband-to-be John burying his body in the woods.
However, on Friday night, the Miligans were left spooked when they received a bunch of flowers claiming to be from Anthony. In the card attached to the flowers, it read: “I’m coming for you, Anthony!”

On Monday’s episode, Steph went missing as she convinced herself that Anthony is still alive and sent the flowers
When Jai Sharma admitted to sending the flowers, Ruby disclosed Anthony’s abuse and a humiliated Jai immediately backed off.
Later in the episode, Steph, Caleb, John and Aaron found Steph in the middle of the woods, attempting to dig up Anthony’s grave.
Realising that the soil seemed undisturbed, they turned their suspicions to John and questioned whether Anthony was dead after all.
This prompted John, whose dark secrets were exposed on Thursday’s episode, to admit: “You all agreed to trust me, yeah? So why don’t we just stick to that…”

After Aaron accused him of ‘lying’, John admitted: “Alright, okay, fine… he’s not here. I thought someone might slip up, so… I figured it was best not to tell you where he really is”, insisting that he is ‘dead’.
At the end of the episode, Aaron gave John the cold shoulder to which he said he was trying to “play the hero again” before adding: “No more lies” to which John repeated: “No more lies…”
However, as John said “no more lies”, Aaron gave him a suspicious look with soap watchers wondering whether he is wary of his husband-to-be and will bring him down.
Taking to Twitter, now X, one person said: “Oh Aaron is noticing how John always wants to play the hero #Emmerdale”, a different account wrote: “Good 1 Aaron! I’m glad he can tell John’s lying.. #Emmerdale” while another added: “The walls are closing in on john, it’s not gonna be long before aaron figures out what he’s been up to. #Emmerdale.”
