Celebrity Big Brother viewers were left ‘howling’ during Wednesday’s episode as JoJo Siwa revealed she doesn’t know who Jedward are – despite previously meeting them.

The American dancer, 21, was left confused after Danny Bears said she and Love Island star Chris Hughes, 32, are like Jedward, 33, when together.

Speaking in the diary room, JoJo said: ‘Considering [Danny] called us Jedward yesterday that’s just shady!

Big Brother asked: ‘Did Chris explain to you what Jedward are?,’ she replied: ‘No he did not, he just said they were twins that are annoying.’

‘Also Celebrity Big Brother alumni, Jedward if you are watching good evening,’ said Big Brother.

JoJo then said: ‘Good evening Jedward!’

Jedward were left less than impressed by Chris’ response to JoJo and took to X to hit back.

They penned: ‘It’s wild Chris said what he said cuz he’s all over Jojo who is the girl version of us! We didn’t know who Chris was until Gemma Collins told us #cbb’.

Despite JoJo not knowing who they are, photos of Jedward and the singer together backstage at a concert in June 2024 have resurfaced on the internet.

Fans rushed to X – formerly known as Twitter – to re-share the snaps and shared that they are ‘howling’ over her reaction.

They wrote: ‘Jojo being COMPLETELY oblivious to jedward despite the fact she’s actually met them before ahahah;

‘Jojo not knowing who jedward are when she has a picture with them is taking me out;

‘Screaming at Jedward saying they convinced jojo to do big brother and she dosent know who they are;

‘It’s funny cause JoJo actually met Jedward before;

Previously pop Irish duo Jedward claimed they had convinced the Dance Moms star to take part in the ITV show.

They wrote: ‘Last year we told @itsjojosiwa to do #CBB she’s our triplet with Jepic energy your welcome’.

Jedward are identical twins John and Edward, who found fame on the sixth series of The X Factor in 2009.

The twins have taken part in Celebrity Big Brother twice, once in 2011 and finished in third, and again in 2017 finishing as runners-up.

It comes after JoJo revealed she no longer identifies as a lesbian during the ITV show earlier this week.

The Dance Moms star has been raising eyebrows over her ‘flirty’ friendship with housemate Chris.

Now JoJo has opened up about her s3xuality having previously told housemates ‘I like girls’, in a conversation that led to h0m0ph0bic remarks from Mickey Rourke, 72.

During Tuesday night’s livestream, following a triple eviction that saw Patsy Palmer, Ella Rae Wise and Angellica Bell given the boot, JoJo was seen confiding in RuPaul‘s Drag Race star, Danny Beard.

During a private chat in the bedroom, she confessed: ‘I feel so queer,’ as Danny responded: ‘I’m queer!’

JoJo, who is in a relationship with influencer Kath Ebbs – continued: ‘I’ve never – I think I’ve always told myself, I’m a lesbian. I think you – I think being here – I’ve realised I am not a lesbian, I’m queer.’

JoJo continued: ‘And I think that’s really cool, I’m switching letters! I’ve dropped the L and I’ve gone to the Q baby! That’s what I love about s3xuality.’

After hugging, Danny – who identifies as non-binary and uses the pronouns they/them – quipped: ‘And you know what British people love more than anything? To queue!’

The term queer is typically described as an ‘umbrella term’ for people who consider their s3xuality to be something other than heteros3xual.

This includes people who are attracted to their own and opposite s3x and can extend to non-binary and transgender people.

LGBTQ charity Stonewall define it as ‘a term used by those wanting to reject specific labels of s3xual orientation and/or gender identity’.

JoJo came out as pans3xual in 2021 but has described herself as gay in recent interviews.
