AMY Robach has revealed she wants her friends, Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb, to conduct her first interview since being fired from Good Morning America.

The former GMA3 host was terminated from the show in January 2023 after her affair with her co-host, TJ Holmes, came to light.

Amy, 51, and TJ, 46, have been opening up more about their relationship on their recently launched podcast, Amy & TJ.

During Tuesday’s episode, TJ put Amy in the hot seat and asked her several questions about her personal life and career.

One of the questions was about who Amy would choose to interview her in her first sit-down post-scandal.

Amy responded that Today hosts Savannah, 59, and Hoda, 52, would be her first choice, given their close friendship.

“Hoda Kotb. Savannah Guthrie. I’ve known them. I love them. I worked with them. I trust them, probably more than any other journalist because I know them,” the ex-TV star explained.

However, TJ wasn’t as confident in his girlfriend’s selection.

“You going to do that one solo?” he hesitantly asked.

“Well, you were just asking who I would pick. We would obviously have to have a larger conversation about that,” Amy assured.

“I mean, I’m cool. Savannah’s fine, but that Hoda. That sister, I don’t know,” TJ joked before shouting out his love for Hoda.

THE AFFAIR

Amy and TJ were booted from their co-hosting gigs on GMA3 shortly after the Daily Mail leaked photos of them on a romantic getaway in November 2022.

They were married to other people – Amy with Melrose Place actor Andrew Shue, 56, and TJ with the mother of his 10-year-old daughter, Sabine, Marilee Fiebig, 46 – at the time of the affair.

The pair initially took a hiatus from the show while ABC executives deliberated over how to handle the scandal.

Their leave eventually became permanent, which a spokesperson from the network revealed in an official statement on January 27, 2023.

“After several productive conversations with Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes about different options, we all agreed it’s best for everyone that they move on from ABC News,” they shared.

“We recognize their talent and commitment over the years and are thankful for their contributions.”

Amy and TJ started working together in 2020.

In the days before their firing, sources told Radar Online that Savannah and Hoda were being poached to take over their spots on GMA3.

According to the outlet, Jenna Bush Hager, 42, and Carson Daly, 50, were also being approached for the coveted GMA positions.

“TJ and Amy’s situation creates a big headache and bosses have an even bigger task — they’ve got to discreetly find out which talent is logistically poachable while weighing the best potential fit,” the insider revealed.

Despite this, Amy might be leaning on her friends outside of GMA since losing contact with many of her former colleagues.

ANGRY AMY

During Tuesday’s podcast episode, Amy claimed her ex-co-workers disconnected themselves from the fired star.

“There are people who I worked with every single day, who I thought I was close with, who then showed me who they were when they didn’t check in ever. Not once,” the mom of two said.

The journalist refused to mention anyone by name, but reports have claimed she was at odds with GMA anchor Robin Roberts, 63, with whom she’s had a close bond over the years.

Robin – a devout Christian – reportedly disapproved of Amy and TJ’s cheating ways and didn’t take the situation well.

Earlier this month, Robin didn’t acknowledge Amy’s birthday on social media, hinting that their feud still rages on.

She also nixed Amy from her wedding guest list when she tied the knot with her partner, Amber Laign, 48, in September 2023.

“Amy and TJ are not invited, and Amy is furious about it. She and Robin were far more than work colleagues, they shared a deep friendship,” an insider exclusively told The U.S. Sun about the move.

“When their scandal came out, Robin could have gone to bat for them — she had the power to do that and they thought she would.”

The source continued: “Robin had the power to save Amy and TJ, she is that powerful at ABC, and she didn’t.

“She could have made the case that despite everything they are two consenting adults, and they were separated, but she chose not to.”

Amy has also said she’s been turning to The View’s Sara Haines for support and praised her longtime pal for consistently “checking in” on her after the scandal broke.
