Michael Strahan is no stranger to playful banter on Good Morning America, but a recent on-air exchange with co-host Laura Spencer left him visibly embarrassed and momentarily speechless.
During a segment on the popular ABC morning show, Strahan, a former NFL star and longtime GMA anchor, found himself at the center of an awkward moment when Laura made a surprising remark that caught him off guard.

Michael Strahan Left Red-Faced After Laura’s Unexpected Comment
The exchange happened during a discussion with medical correspondent Dr. Darien Sutton about the benefits of exercise in lowering blood pressure.
Dr. Sutton explained how just five extra minutes of vigorous activity could make a significant difference in overall health. As the conversation unfolded, Laura chimed in with a comment that no one saw coming.
“Well, Michael makes me breathless and sweat. That doesn’t count?” she asked, sparking laughter from the entire panel.
Strahan immediately covered his face in embarrassment. “I cannot believe you just said that,” he responded, clearly caught off guard by Laura’s unexpected quip.
Dr. Sutton attempted to keep the conversation professional, joking that he hadn’t seen that particular scenario mentioned in the study. Meanwhile, Strahan, still flustered, struggled to regain his composure as the segment wrapped up.
“I’m speechless,” he admitted, while Laura playfully suggested it was payback for an earlier joke he had made at her expense.

Strahan’s Co-Stars Keep the Jokes Coming
This isn’t the first time Strahan has been the target of good-natured teasing. His colleagues on Fox NFL Sunday also took a lighthearted jab at him during a recent broadcast.
During a discussion about the Atlanta Falcons’ victory over the Dallas Cowboys, Terry Bradshaw attempted to demonstrate how he turns on a television—using an old-school knob-turning motion.
Michael and fellow analyst Howie Long couldn’t help but laugh at the outdated technique. “There’s a remote, my God!” Howie reminded Terry.
Strahan, never one to miss a joke, took it a step further by pretending to adjust an antenna made of pens.
Terry, clearly fed up with the teasing, fired back, “This is not funny, America. I’m filing a protest!”
Michael Strahan Knows How to Take a Joke
Whether on GMA or Fox NFL Sunday, Michael Strahan is used to being the target of friendly jabs. His infectious personality and ability to laugh at himself have made him a fan favorite on both shows.
Despite Laura’s unexpected remark, Strahan handled the moment with his usual charm—proving once again that he’s always game for a little fun on live television.
