GMB’s Richard Madeley SHOCKS entire family with overnight decision nobody saw coming!

Richard Madeley on his chat with Judy before I’m A Celeb ‘Don’t care what people think’
RICHARD MADELEY has opened up about a discussion he had with wife Judy Finnigan before signing up for the new series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

Good Morning Britain presenter Richard Madeley will soon be heading to Gwrych Castle for the new series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! The star will be one of the famous faces taking on gruelling trials in the hit ITV show this year, in a bid to be crowned King of the Castle. Ahead of the new series, Richard has shared his motivations for joining the cast, revealing he chatted everything through with his wife Judy Finnigan before signing up for the show.
Richard has been asked to be a contestant on I’m A Celebrity in previous years, but this is the first time he’s agreed to go on the show.
Chatting about why he finally decided to sign-up for the challenge, Richard revealed he wanted to know what it would really feel like to be a part of the gruelling challenges.
The star explained: “Up until Now, I’ve always been perfectly happy watching as a viewer but recently, I realised I’m A Celebrity is no longer just a TV programme.
“It’s become part of the fabric of British life and part of the countdown to Christmas.

“It suddenly hit me that everyone talks about it the next day and I suddenly wondered what it would be like to be there rather than watching.
“I realised the time had come to experience it,” Richard remarked.
The Good Morning Britain presenter confessed his wife Judy was in agreement he should take part in the iconic ITV show.
He said: “Judy and I talked about it and we realised we couldn’t find a reason for me not to do it.
“I slept on the offer and when I woke up the next day, I found myself feeling really excited that I was going to say yes,” he explained.

However, Richard isn’t the only person in his family excited about his upcoming I’m A Celeb stint.
“My children think it is hilarious I am taking part!” The presenter exclaimed.
Once he enters the castle, Richard and his fellow celebrity contestants will come face to face with a number of terrifying challenges.
When asked about any concerns he has heading onto the show, Richard confessed he’s not a fan of heights.
He admitted: “What bothers me the most is the route into the Castle. Maybe I will have to walk a plank over a 150-foot open space.
“I am not looking forward to that at all and I know my head could say ‘do it’ and my body could freeze,” he said.
But, the presenter has insisted he won’t be shying away from taking on any of the trials.
He commented: “I really hope I do get voted for the Trials. The thing about this programme is you mustn’t go into it if you take yourself remotely seriously.
“I don’t and I am thoroughly looking forward to being covered in god knows what.
“You have to be prepared for people to laugh and I see this is a bl**dy great romp of fun!” Richard enthused.
However, he made it clear one thing he doesn’t want to endure is being voted off first.
“But, that’s because I want to experience everything,” the daytime TV star explained.
“I certainly don’t worry about what people think. If you are in the public eye and you start worrying about how people will see you, you end up going mad!” Richard said.
