Fox News star Kat Timpf recently provided an update on her cancer diagnosis, sharing her journey just weeks after revealing she will need to have her breasts removed.
The 36-year-old commentator and new mother first disclosed her battle with breast cancer shortly after giving birth, explaining that she will undergo a double mastectomy in February.
Timpf on Friday posted a photo outside Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan.

“Once I recover from childbirth, my mole removal scars heal, I get a double mastectomy, get rid of my cancer, have breast reconstruction surgery & am physically capable of getting back in the gym, it’s OVER FOR U B—-Z,” she wrote on her Instagram.
Following her public announcement, Timpf was met with an outpouring of support and well-wishes.
However, she also admitted to feeling overwhelmed by unsolicited medical advice, which prompted her to address her followers directly.
“First of all, thank you so much for all the support, it’s meant so much to me. This is obviously a really crazy, difficult, unexpected time, and I really do appreciate it,” Timpf said in a video update.
“But I wanted to address a few things because I’ve also been overwhelmed with, I guess you could say, medical advice?”

The Fox News host explained that while many people had good intentions, some questioned her decision to undergo a double mastectomy.
Certain individuals shared stories about their own loved ones with a stage-zero diagnosis who had opted for a lumpectomy instead of a full mastectomy.
Others, identifying themselves as medical professionals, suggested that a double mastectomy for stage-zero cancer seemed “extreme.”
“I just want to say, trust me, there’s no one for whom that seems more extreme than me,” Timpf responded.
“I don’t take cutting my t—s off lightly. As a general rule, I don’t think any woman does. I find it devastating. But I am very grateful to have access to the opinions of many brilliant minds when it comes to breast cancer.”

Despite acknowledging the emotional toll of the procedure, Timpf emphasized that she trusts the expert medical team guiding her through this process.
She underscored that her top priority is ensuring she remains healthy and present for her child’s future.
“I have been very lucky to have a team that is very knowledgeable on this. I’ve talked to a lot of different people, and the focus of all of these conversations is what’s the best thing to do to keep me alive so I’m around for my son for a long time,” she added.

Timpf first announced her diagnosis in a heartfelt social media post, revealing that she learned of her condition just hours before going into labor.
“Last week, I welcomed my first child into the world. About fifteen hours before I went into labor, I was diagnosed with breast cancer,” she wrote.
She reassured her followers that her doctors were confident the cancer had not spread, calling it a stage-zero diagnosis.
