‘I Was Wrong, I’m Sorry’ – Lorraine Kelly breaks down hugging daughter in emotional confession that silenced viewers!
Lorraine Kelly has candidly discussed some “mistakes” she’s made throughout her extensive career, revealing that it was her daughter Rosie who inspired a change.
In a chat on the SheerLuxe YouTube channel, host Jo Good, who has been following the beloved presenter’s career for many years, complimented Lorraine on her jackets, but also inquired about any past “mistakes”.
With over four decades of television experience, Lorraine didn’t shy away from confessing to a few fashion blunders, including one specific jacket that she says assaulted the “retinas” of a Hollywood A-lister.
She quipped: “How long have you got for the mistakes that were made? Back in the ’80s, we had a boss at TV-am who was all for colour.” Lorraine detailed how she donned a jacket with one lime green sleeve, one lemon sleeve, and featuring “all the colours of the rainbow”, including pink, red, and purple all “in this one jacket”.
She continued: “It was horrific and I remember I interviewed Liam Neeson wearing that jacket and the poor man, his retinas were sore looking at me.”

Lorraine added: “But yeah, no, I’ve got many, many a mistake. You know, I would say up until I was about 55, I was getting it wrong more than I was getting it right.
“And then I think I decided to take it more seriously. I think it was my daughter getting a bit older and going, you know, ‘Yikes, Mum’, you know, ‘Step away from that. That’s really not good’, and her giving me good ideas.”
The 64 year old presenter, renowned for her roles on Good Morning Britain, GMTV and Lorraine, was honoured with the esteemed BAFTA Special Award this year in recognition of her lengthy career. This year also saw her daughter welcome a baby girl named Billie, making the seasoned TV host a grandmother.
Speaking to Platinum magazine, she shared that she had been partaking in a “lot of wee celebrations”, but Billie’s arrival was the “biggest thing to happen”.
Discussing her new role as a grandmother, Lorraine expressed: “It’s fantastic. I’m going there this afternoon to make sure Rosie gets a wee sleep and Steve, her partner, has a wee walk out in the fresh air and just to do whatever I can.”
