The former American Idol seemed to struggle with the lead singer’s subdued style.

Kelly welcomed the alternative band to The Kelly Clarkson Show to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their groundbreaking The Blue Album.
But the connection between the 42-year-old and Rivers, was clearly out of tune.
Kelly laughed and gushed about her love of the band, while bouncing all over the couch.
Actress Brooke Shields, another guest on the show, matched Kelly’s intensity.
Rivers, however, is famously an introvert, and sat quietly on the couch, looking uncomfortable.
While trying to calm herself down, Kelly seemed to tease Rivers over his quietness.
“I love your energy is so opposite of mine,” Kelly snarked at one point. “Even your answer, you were like ‘Thank You,'” she said mocking his subdued voice.
After goading him on more, Kelly sarcastically said, “I really want to host a show with you.”
Fans, however, cringed at their interaction – and the overpowering Kelly.
“I love you Kelly, but the vibe I’m getting is that he felt uncomfortable and bullied,” one person commented online. “I think it was disrespectful.”

“I feel like HE FELT you are making fun of him AND I DONT LOVE THAT,” another slammed.
“It seems he didn’t quite get the humor,” a third noted, before adding, “I found it to be a bit rude.”
While one person simply begged, “Kelly, damn, let him talk.”

Earlier this month, comedian Jerry Seinfeld was thoroughly amused watching Kelly, who had earlier taken an allergy tablet, gleefully butcher his introduction.
“Kelly… Look, Claritin is not that strong,” the comedian joked during their interview.
Kelly explained that she moved to New York for her talk show and that her allergies were bad and described them as “different.”
Jerry told Kelly she was an HSP, which stands for a highly sensitive person – to which the star agreed.
He then questioned, “What else are you on right now? Because you’re really going crazy!”
Earlier, Kelly confessed she was feeling a bit odd.
“So, I’m gonna be real. I took a Claritin,” she stated, discussing how bad her allergies were. “I knew Benadryl and Mucinex were bad for me.”
The pop music singer continued, “I can’t take certain allergy medications ’cause it makes me loopy.
“Like, people [will] think I’m stoned. So I took a different one. Turns out, same situation. “So, it’s a really weird show, but I promise I can read.”
