TODAY hosts Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager have revealed a new joint project that marks a major first for the duo.
The pair are getting in the holiday spirit with a career change this Christmas.

On Monday, Hoda and Jenna made the announcement during their edition of the Today show.
The latter excitedly revealed they have ventured into the music business and have recorded a new holiday song together.
In unison, the hosting duo shared the title of the track: “A Carefree Christmas!”
The cover artwork for the single popped up on the screen behind them.
It featured Hoda and Jenna in matching white sweaters, red scarves, and Santa hats.
Hoda shared: “We’ve actually cut a single. It drops on Wednesday.
“People are talking about it, and by people, I mean me and Jenna. No one else.”
Jenna joked: “Do you think Jimmy Fallon will have us on to perform?”
After teasing back and forth about the possibility, Hoda turned serious for a moment to give a special shout-out.
“Really, the star of the show is not pictured here,” she said of the album artwork.
Jenna added that Cheryl is the true “star of the show” before her co-star went on to explain why that is.
“Cheryl is a person who could teach anybody to sing,” Hoda said.
She went on: ”She has her own technique. She’s amazing. She is like joy personified.
“She ran us through the paces, had us try to learn.”
“And it will sound good because of her,” Jenna insisted.
She continued “We only have one song on the album. But, you guys, it could be the first of many, many singles.
Jenna then joked that she would like the song to top the charts, which earned a few laughs from the crew.
Hoda admitted: “If we do, it’d be a Christmas miracle.”
The two shared the exciting news after a fun few days with their respective families.
Jenna and her twin Barbara celebrated their 42nd birthdays together, while Hoda enjoyed some time with her family for Thanksgiving.
