“My father lived a meaningful life”– Fox News Host Abby Hornacek moved to tears as she honors her legendary dad Jeff Hornacek!
“My dad is the most dedicated person I’ve ever met, and truly my biggest inspiration,” said 22-year-old Abby Hornacek, sports journalist in Chicago. Growing up, she watched him pour everything into coaching — after each game, he’d come home and watch it twice. “That’s what makes him really great,” she added.

Jeff Hornacek, former NBA player, is set to lead his first Knicks training camp. Abby believes his playing experience helps him connect deeply with players: “He has a great basketball mind and sees the whole court.”
Hornacek’s interview with Knicks president Phil Jackson happened coincidentally when Jeff was in LA for Abby’s USC graduation. “I was super excited but didn’t want to get my hopes up too high,” Abby recalled.
Graduating cum laude in journalism, Abby had worked with FOX Sports San Diego, FOX Sports Arizona, and the NBA Summer League site before joining digital network 120 Sports. She even requested time off to attend the Knicks’ home opener.
Hornacek expressed pride in his daughter: “She sacrificed a lot and worked hard to achieve her goals. We’re so proud.” He showed this devotion by personally driving a 30-hour cargo van from Phoenix to Chicago to help Abby settle in.
“I’m a very lucky daughter,” Abby said softly, her voice full of gratitude.
