A new side-by-side video compares Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones to the Josh Harris and Magic Johnson-led Washington Commanders’ ownership group, and the difference couldn’t be more clear-cut.
In just their second season of the Harris-Johnson ownership era, the Commanders went 12-5 and stunned the top-seeded Detroit Lions to reach their first NFC Championship Game appearance since 1991. With their win, Jerry Jones’ Cowboys now hold the longest active NFC title game drought at 29 years.
The @LawsNation X/Twitter account shared a fascinating video comparing one of Jones’ recent interviews to the Harris-Johnson post-game interview after the Commanders upset the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Wild Card Weekend last week.
Johnson cited the importance of a “new vision” and “picking the right people” while letting the coach (Dan Quinn) and GM (Adam Peters)” do their job” without interference.
And then there’s Jerry Jones, who said he wouldn’t give up his general manager duties while adding that he bought the Cowboys “for me.”
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why the Cowboys are always watching the playoffs from their couches while watching one of their bitter rivals celebrate a surprise trip to the NFC Championship Game.
Jerry Jones Only Cares About Himself, Not The Cowboys
Whatever word salad Jones spits out, it’s complete rubbish. If he cared about winning and adding a fourth Super Bowl title to his repertoire, he would have given up the GM duties a long time ago.
Jones only cares about making money and giving himself all the power. As long as he continues the power trip, the Cowboys won’t sniff a Super Bowl. Pure and simple.
