New York celebrates – GMA team overjoyed – Robin Roberts leaves her sickbed to celebrate Sam Champion and Rubem Robierb’s WEDDING!
Sam Champion is officially off the market!
The Good Morning America anchor married his partner, Rubem Robierb, this afternoon in New York City.
Surrounded by family and friends, the two were married in an intimate 10-minute ceremony performed by N.Y. State Supreme Court Justice George J. Silver at Champion’s NYC apartment, according to ABC News.
Of course, Champion’s fellow GMA anchors made the guest list, including Lara Spencer and Josh Elliot.
Even sweeter? Robin Roberts, looking radiant in a festive red dress after her recent bone marrow transplant had a role in the big day, reading a poem by Elizabeth Barrett Browning.
According to ABC News, Champion and Robierb, an artist, met through mutual friends a few years ago in Miami, where Robierb lives, and became engaged in October. The couple will celebrate again on New Year’s Eve with a bash in Miami.
