NO EXCEPTIONS – ITV SH0CKS TV AUDIENCE with ‘OFFICIAL VERDICT’ on the FATE of This Morning, Lorraine, Loose Women, and Good Morning Britain causing fans to Erupt in Debate.

ITV has announced a huge shake-up to its daytime programming, with This Morning and Lorraine both affected.
From January 2026, the respective series’ – along with Loose Women – will be broadcast from a new location in central London, with ITV Studios confirming they are in discussions to have the three “distinct” shows produced by a single team which shares resources and operations

Lorraine will operate on a 30-week “seasonal basis” around the presenters’ work pattern, with episodes running from 9.30am until 10am. Loose Women will revert to its previous schedule of 12.30pm-1.30pm on a 30-week basis, while This Morning will continue to air from 10am until 12.30pm.
“I recognise that our plans will have an impact on staff off screen in our Daytime production teams,” said Kevin Lygo, Managing Director of ITV’s Media and Entertainment Division. “We will work with ITV Studios and ITN as they manage these changes to produce the shows differently from next year, and support them through this transition.
“Daytime has been a core element of ITV’s schedule for over 40 years and these changes will set ITV up to continue to bring viewers award winning news, views and discussion as we enter our eighth decade.”

Furthermore, Good Morning Britain will undergo changes to its scheduling as its running time is increased by 30 minutes for each episode, with instalments now due to run from 6am until 9.30am. Additionally, each episode will be extended by a further 30 minutes when Lorraine isn’t on air.

In another alteration, the series will now be handled by a “dedicated” ITV News team at ITN as the network has decided to bring its various national news teams into one central hub, with the “efficiencies” from the changes seeing the funds being reinvested into “other genres”.

“Daytime is a really important part of what we do, and these scheduling and production changes will enable us to continue to deliver a schedule providing viewers with the news, debate and discussion they love from the presenters they know and trust,” added Lygo.
“These changes also allow us to consolidate our news operations and expand our national, international and regional news output and to build upon our proud history of trusted journalism at a time when our viewers need accurate, unbiased news coverage more than ever.”
