TV presenter Piers Morgan reacted to the news that Liverpool football player Diogo Jota has d13d aged 28.Spanish media have announced the Portugese footballer d13d in a car accιdent just two weeks after getting married.
Piers posted on X, formerly known as Twitter: “BREAKING NEWS: Desperately sad news coming out of Spain that Liverpool and Portugal star Diogo Jota, 28, has d13d, along with his brother, in a car accιdent in Zamora. He only got married 2 weeks ago,” as he added: “Heart-breaking.”
Piers’ followers rushed to the post to share their condolences, as one said: “Life is brutally unpredictable. Prayers up for Diogo Jota and his family. Moments like this remind us what truly matters.” Another added: “This is truly heartbreaking. Rest in peace, Diogo Jota. He was just recently married. Life can be so painfully unpredictable. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family, loved ones, and the entire Liverpool community. The football world has lost a young soul far too soon. Such a sad and tragic loss.”

A third agreed: “Oh no. That’s super, super sad. He was one of the most likeable players in football, a sport that unifies people, and he was one of those rare types of players that nobody had anything bad to say about, even his closest rivals.”
The tragic accιdent is said to have taken place on the A-52 in Zamora, near the town of Palacios de Sanabria.
It occurred shortly after midnight and firefighters were called to extinguish the fire, which had spread to nearby vegetation. Jota’s brother Andre is also reported to have d13d in the crsh.
In a statement, the emergency services in the Castilla and Leon region said: “The 112 Castilla and Leon operations room received several calls reporting a vehicle accιdent at kilometre 65 of the A-52, in the municipality of Cernadilla, Zamora. A car was reported to have been involved in an accιdent and the vehicle was on fire.”
The tragic news comes just two weeks after Jota married Rute Cardoso in Portugal, with whom he shares three children. On Instagram, they shared pictures of them standing in front of the altar.
