EMMA Stone has left fans’ jaws on the floor after debuting her new super-short pixie cut at the 2025 Golden Globe Awards.
While the actress is not nominated tonight, she returned a year after taking home the Lead Actress trophy in 2024 for Poor Things and turned heads with the new look.

Fans have speculated for months that Emma, 36, had cut her hair for a role after videos surfaced of her appearing to adjust a wig backstage at an event.
The Oscar-winner confirmed fans’ suspicions tonight as she arrived at the Golden Globes with drastically shorter hair.
Emma’s auburn locks looked gorgeous after an ultra-short pixie cut that was complete with whispy microbangs.
To complement her look, Emma wore a striking red-hot custom Louis Vuitton ballgown with a belt cinching her waist which was detailed with an asymmetrical bow.
She flashed a big smile as she was escorted along the carpet by her husband, Dave McCary.
Viewers were blown away by her new look, with one exclaiming: “EMMA STONE SHORT HAIR. SO PRETTY I’M ON MY KNEES!”
“Omgomgomgomgomgomgomg EMMA STONE WITH A PIXIE CUT!!!! I REPEAT, EMILY JEAN STONE WITH A PIXIE CUT!!!!!” another wrote.
“Emma stone with a pixie cut???? I think I’ve died and gone to heaven,” an admirer said.

“EMMA STONE PIXIE CUT OMG SHE LOOKS SO CUTE,” an X user said.
While one more who appeared to have predicted the cut said: “OMG EMMA STONE FINALLY DEBUTING THE HAIR!”
Emma’s fans have speculated that she’d gone for a drastic makeover and chopped her hair for her latest role in Yorgos Lanthimos’ movie Bugonia.
Back in October, Emma was seen filming the upcoming movie in New York City – marking the fourth time she’s worked with the director after already collaborating on The Favourite, Poor Things, and Kinds of Kindness.

In all of the shots that were released at the time, Emma had on a hat or some kind of article of clothing covering her head at all times – leading fans to believe she had buzzed her hair.
Rumors were fueled further when a video surfaced backstage at the New York Film Festival where Emma was accused of wearing a wig.
“I’m so intrigued by why Emma Stone is wearing a wig at NYFF,” one person said in a video where she appeared to adjust the headpiece.
While not much is known about the top-secret project yet, Emma will be starring alongside Jesse Plemmons and Alicia Silverstone.
Set to be a drama, the plot promises: “Two conspiracy-obsessed young men kidnap the high-powered CEO of a major company, convinced that she is an alien intent on destroying planet Earth.”

Marking the fourth time Emma has worked with director Yorgos, the actress is all but assuring she’ll be back next year as a nominee for her latest role.
Last year, Emma took home her second Golden Globe award for her role as Bella Baxter in their film, Poor Things.
When on stage to take home the golden trophy, Emma made sure to thank her husband in a rare glimpse into their private relationship.
‘TURNED OUR LIVES TECHNICOLOR’
“Dave, I have to start with you really quickly. I love you so much. Thank you for everything,” she gushed as she fought back tears.
The Arizona native continued: “I know I have to wrap up, but I really want to just thank my family, my mom, my brother Spencer, my dad, my husband Dave, I love you so much.
“And most importantly, my daughter, who’s going to be 3 in three days and has turned our lives technicolor.
“I love you bigger than the whole sky, my girl.”
Emma gave birth to her first child with Dave, daughter Louise Jean McCary, on March 13, 2021.
