Rochelle Humes is among the frontrunners to step in for Susanna Reid as a guest host of Good Morning Britain this summer, according to betideas.com.
Reid announced last week that she would be taking a break from presenting Good Morning Britain until September, with ex-The Saturdays star Humes who has regularly guest-hosted This Morning in the past 6/1 to fill in for Reid over the next few months.
Lorraine Kelly, who regularly appears on GMB to preview her Lorraine show, and whose show is on at the same time as GMB’s +1 edition, sits ahead of Humes in the betting at 5/1 with the duo both trailing market leader Charlotte Hawkins (4/7). Hawkins regularly appears as a presenter on GMB, but is being tipped to take a more hands-on role while Reid is off duty.
Other notable names in the betting are Ruth Langsford (8/1), Frankie Bridge (12/1), Alison Hammond and Josie Gibson (both 16/1), and Carol Vorderman (25/1).

Lee Astley, spokesperson for betideas.com, said: “With Susanna Reid having announced last week that she will be taking a break from presenting duties on Good Morning Britain for the rest of the summer, speculation has been mounting as to whether ITV producers will look to bring in a guest host over the coming months to replace her.
“While current GMB presenter Charlotte Hawkins is the favourite to fill the void and feature more regularly on the show in Reid’s absence at 4/7, Lorraine Kelly has also been given odds of 5/1 to add to her Lorraine presenting responsibilities by also taking the GMB hotseat.
“Perhaps of most interest is Rochelle Humes who follows next in the betting at 6/1, with the former pop star being backed to replicate her This Morning guest hosting duties on ITV’s earlier weekday morning news show.”

Susanna told viewers on Wednesday July 10: “I’m going to say goodbye because it’s now time for me to go off on a break… You never know, I might pop up in the meantime. But otherwise, I’ll see you back in September.”
Ed Balls responded: “Do you have to? Can’t you stay a bit?” Susanna replied: “You will be in the capable hands of the rest of the Good Morning Britain team, including our lovely green highlighter this morning, Charlotte.”
