TV Host Shares Emotional Video After Surgery for ‘Very Rare’ Brain Tumor: ‘I Just Feel Very Lucky’
Before her death, Powers made TV appearances on Fox News’ Red Eye, Fox & Friends and The Willis Report.
During her battle with glioblastoma, Powers underwent three brain surgeries as well as multiple rounds of radiation, chemotherapy, and immunotherapy, according to a GoFundMe that has since been disabled.
In addition to her professional work, Powers’ hobbies included gardening, surfing, ballet, biking, running, horseback riding, and travel.
But, her obituary said, “Most important to her was her family.”
Powers was pregnant with her son Bennett, who is now 3, while she through treatment. She referred to herself as “the luckiest unlucky girl” after her cancer went into remission, and she also joked about how her treatment left her with the same haircut as her newborn son.
