After nearly three decades of marriage to Mark Consuelos, Kelly Ripa has confirmed that she’s still got 29 years’ worth of secrets tucked away in the pages of her secret journals.
The couple and Live With Kelly and Mark cohosts held a lively discussion Thursday morning about the inner workings of relationships, including potential partners who over-share on dates.
Consuelos, 53, joked that Ripa, 54, can, at times, spill too much on his “foibles” and personal “mess,” though he quickly retracted when Ripa playfully pushed back.

Ripa later reflected on the demeanor of other women her husband has dated, after admitting that she’s actually known some of them.
“I feel like we all knew that you’re a little bit cagey, so we’re a little bit cagey around you. We don’t divulge too much information,” Ripa said. “Like I always say, you’ll really know me after I pass away and you inherit my journals, and you come in in book 3, chapter 7. So, get right to that point, because I know you don’t care about anything that happens before that!”

Consuelos quipped, “Right, I don’t care about that,” before promptly moving on to discuss a far more important topic: a “megalodon” mutant goldfish recently discovered in a river.
Consuelos and Ripa regularly discuss married life on their morning talk show. In February 2024, the couple took a trip back to visit the Las Vegas chapel where they were first married in 1996, after meeting on the soap opera All My Children.
Elsewhere on Thursday’s Live episode, Ripa admitted that she fell in love with Consuelos the moment she first met him on the TV show. Across married life, they’ve had three children together and several pets, including their beloved dog, Chewie, whom Ripa tearfully announced had died in February at age 17.
Live With Kelly and Mark airs weekdays in syndication. Check your local listings for showtimes in your area.
