The Siddiqui family have been flooded with support from Channel 4 fans after an emotional announcement.
Gogglebox icon Baasit Siddiqui has appeared on the show with his two brothers, Umar and Raza, as well as their father Sid, since it started back in 2013.
He shared an update last month and revealed on Instagram that, alongside his wife Melissa, he will be completing the London Marathon.
The London Marathon is set to take place on April 27 and will see 56,000 runners take on the race.
He wrote: ‘I’ve had the privilege of experiencing running the @londonmarathon before but to have the opportunity to share this experience with my wife is very special!’
Baasit then went on to share how his wife stated running in January last year and that they would be supporting Mind Charity.

Offering an insight to his life away from the Gogglebox fame, he added: ‘For over ten years I worked as a full time teacher and for the last five years I’ve worked across education with teachers, children and families.
‘One thing that continues to be highlighted in all my work is the growing mental health crisis.
‘The work Mind does to raise awareness and smash mental health stigmas has never been more important and I know how prevalent the crisis of mental health challenges is across the education landscape.
‘Whether it’s teacher workload, social media challenges in children or parents mental health struggles due to the cost of living crisis – it’s clear to see people need help more than ever!
The Gogglebox star ended with: ‘That is why I’m proud to be running the 2025 London Marathon with my wife to raise money for such an amazing cause.’
Fans flooded the comments with support and one penned: ‘Well done and best of luck to you both!’;
‘Good luck you guys… hope you smash it and raise lots of money for a great cause.’;

It comes after the Siddiquis shared a sad update about their family via Instagram back in February and revealed that their pet cat Rufus had sadly passed away aged 15.

The touching post, which was accompanied by a collection of photos of the beloved cat, read: ‘Goodnight our beautiful boy Rufus.
’15 and a half years wasn’t long enough, you were and always will be a big part of our lives.
‘The most chilled, cuddly and beautiful boy who made us a family right back at the beginning.
‘Lots of memories that we will never forget and we are truly grateful to have known & loved you.
‘Sleep tight our handsome Boy.’
Loyal fans took to the comments to wish the family well and one penned: ‘It is devastating when we lose a beloved family member. I am always saddened to read such posts. RIP your beautiful boy.’
Just last year, the Siddiqui’s surprised fans during an episode when they mentioned a family member that has never been seen on the show.
Baasit and Raza shocked audiences when they casually mentioned their mother.
