UNBELIEVABLE – Lara Spencer reveals special message from Dr. Jennifer, GMA fans chant “COME BACK!!
Good Morning America host Lara Spencer took to Instagram this week to celebrate a deeply personal milestone: her sixth wedding anniversary with husband Rick McVey. Sharing a series of candid photos from their time together, Lara was quickly showered with warm wishes from fans and friends alike — including a heartfelt comment from former GMA co-anchor Dr. Jennifer Ashton, who wrote: “Love you both,” accompanied by red heart emojis.
Jennifer, who officially departed from GMA3: What You Need To Know on June 27, still maintains a close bond with her longtime colleagues. Appearing on The View just before her final day, Jennifer reflected on her next chapter, saying: “You know, I’m excited about the next stage, I’m really focusing on what I’m board-certified in, which is women’s health and obesity medicine and nutrition.” She added with a laugh: “I’m looking forward to sleeping past four or five in the morning a little bit.” After 13 years with GMA, Jennifer is now dedicating her time to Ajenda, a new free weekly health newsletter.

Meanwhile, Lara used her time off from GMA to turn a childhood dream into reality. At 55, she finally saw her idol Sting perform live at the JAS music festival in Aspen — thanks to her husband’s surprise. In an emotional post, Lara revealed: “Anyone who knows me knows The Police was my favorite band as a kid… When they broke up I was 14 and devastated, thinking I would never get to see them live.” She added gratefully: “At 55 years young, my husband helped make my teen dream a reality.”
The trip held extra meaning for Lara, as Colorado is where she and Rick exchanged vows six years ago. On their wedding day, Lara’s son Duff proudly walked her down the aisle, making the moment even more special.
While Jennifer embarks on her new journey beyond GMA, Lara embraces love, nostalgia, and the magic of lifelong dreams coming true — all with her family, friends, and fans cheering her on.
