GB News presenter Stephen Dixon forced fans to do a double take after he called out his co-host Ellie Costello’s mortifying blunder live on air. During Friday’s visit (June 13) to the London studios, the 51-year-old presenter woke up the nation alongside the blonde bombshell, 31, where they discussed the biggest stories hitting the headlines. This included Israel’s att@ck on Iran and the d3vastating Air India plane cr@sh.
Halfway through the breakfast show, Ellie teased the jaw-dropping competition fans can take part in this week which will see one lucky viewer walk away with £54,321. She began: “We’re counting down to your best summer so far with £53,321 in tax-free cash to be won.”

Her co-host immediately jumped in to correct her as he joked: “She took a grand off you,” as she chuckled: “I took a grand off you, I’m so sorry. But feel free to give me a grand if you do win this.” This time, the presenter caught herself in another bold blunder as she quickly added: “I’m not sure you’re allowed to do that.”
Stephen struggled to keep it together as he giggled: “No, I’m not sure you’re even allowed to say that! You’re fired,” before he discussed the rest of the competition segment.
It comes after the announcement that susp3nded GB News presenter Dan Wootton’s slot on the news channel has officially been filled by journalist and broadcaster Patrick Christys “until further notice”, according to a statement released by the channel.
Patrick has hosted the channel’s 3pm – 6pm afternoon show since August 2022, but on Monday (June 13), he took over the primetime 9pm slot with his new show, Patrick Christys Tonight.

The announcement was made just hours before the new show was set to air, and GB NEws Head of Programming, Ben Briscoe said: “Patrick is the ultimate people’s champion for The People’s Channel. He’s authentic, entertaining, relatable, and a sharp journalist who can hold any interviewee to account.”
Meanwhile, Patrick took to X – formerly known as Twitter – to share the exciting news online. He revealed: “Thank you to all the wonderful viewers and listeners that have made my time at @GBNEWS so magical. I will be doing the 9-11pm show, Patrick Christys Tonight, until furth notice. I can promise you that I will give it my all.”
It is unknown how this new show will affect the susp3nded presenter’s status at the channel. Express.co.uk has contacted GB News for a comment.
