Prince William releases emotional personal statement amid emergency situation
The British future monarch, Prince William, has issued a personal message amid an emergency situation as huge blazes devastated the West Midlands.
In his emotional statement, William, 44, thanked to emergency service workers who responded to a Wildfire in Stourbridge which left several homes destroyed.
On Saturday, August 15, the Prince of Wales shared his words on his official Instagram account, which he shares with his wife, the Princess of Wales, hours after huge blazes made their way across the West Midlands.
William encouraged the unsung heroes for their amazing efforts to save lives, writing: “To the firefighters, emergency responders and volunteers battling wildfires across the UK, thank you.”
William adds: “Our thoughts are with everyone affected, particularly those who have lost their homes, and with those working tirelessly to protect communities, homes and the countryside.”
Around 20 homes were reportedly destroyed in Stourbridge, with a further 18 damaged as the fire spread over more than 500 acres.
The West Midlands Fire Service reported that over 100 firefighters responded to Thursday’s wildfire, which began in nearby grassland before reaching local homes.
