Fox Nation host Rachel Campos-Duffy announced the birth of her ninth child, Valentina StellaMaris Duffy Tuesday morning on Fox & Friends.
You read that right: That’s now nine for the former MTV Real World cast member and her husband, former congressman Sean Duffy!
Campos-Duffy gave birth to Valentina last week, and is ready to work again.
Having a ninth child is extraordinary in and of itself, but this story is unique in that Campos-Duffy revealed over the summer that while she was pregnant the baby was facing complications and in need of open-heart surgery after birth.
Baby Valentina was born one month before her due date.
“Valentina was born with a heart defect (2 holes in the heart and valves that need to be fixed),” Campos-Duffy writes on her Facebook page. “She will need surgery in 3-4 months. As we suspected, Valentina was also born with an extra chromosome, which means she also has Downs Syndrome. That extra chromosome certainly made her EXTRA cute. Life is wonderful!!”
