BREAKING NEWS: Tess and Vernon’s ‘true feelings for each other’ exposed after b0mbshell split
Body language expert Judi James has weighed in on the former couple’s reunion in the South of France.

Tess Daly and Vernon Kay are devoted to co-parenting, after deciding to “separate amicably” in May. Four months on, and the duo, who split after 22 years of marriage, have proved that they remain on good terms – but is that really the case? After Tess and Vernon revealed that they’d reunited with their daughters, Phoebe and Amber, on a holiday in the South of France, Express.co.uk asked body language expert Judi James to weigh in.
Analysing a brand new photo of the quartet, which Tess posted last week (September 2), James said: “These look like understandably brand-sensitive body language poses, projecting family harmony and affection despite the fact that the marriage has famously and very publicly broken down. Tess and Vernon both have family-viewing TV profiles to protect, so projecting emotional consistency and continuity would be important,” she noted.
“Their daughters are no longer children, though, and the way they join in with the happy family poses does suggest the team dynamic might endure when the cameras are switched off, although it’s often the case in ‘conscious uncoupling’ cases like this that one partner is having to work harder to perform a smile than the other.
“The grouping is interesting here, though,” James added. “Vernon is at the centre of the pose, arms fully splayed in a gesture of easy confidence, and his arms held round behind the group suggest leadership and protection.
“That ‘wings’ spread seems to send out a signal that they are all one unified group with Vernon at the centre of the women’s attention.
“He faces the camera straight on while the women lean in towards him. Tess especially angles herself to join his pose, hinting at a sense of ‘no hard feelings’ towards him.”

James concluded: “The daughters look happy to ‘surround’ their dad too, to suggest they’re happy to have him retain his role at the heart of the family group. They all look keen to boost him, to ‘contain’ him there in that role, and to have him continue to join in the ‘family’ holidays in a way that might seem unrealistic to many separated couples unless there are small children involved.”
Based on James’ analysis, it appears as though Tess and Vernon have adapted to a new family rhythm. Before the duo’s reunion in the South of France, The Mirror reported that Vernon had purchased a £3million property just 15 minutes away from the family home he shared with Tess and the girls in Buckinghamshire. As for Tess, it has been suggested that the former Strictly star is currently focusing on her career.
