Anne Hathaway hit back at baseless internet speculation that her baby bump was ‘fake’ after she showed off her bare stomach at The End of Oak Street premiere.
The 43-year-old, who is set to welcome her third child with husband Adam Shulman, 45, after revealing her pregnancy in June, wrote: “Fake hair, real bump.”
She was glowing when she hit the red carpet in LA on Sunday, opting for a baby blue, cropped Prabal Gurung top with red detailing, which perfectly showed off her figure before cascading down to the floor.
The Oscar-winner paired her daring top with low-rise baggy jeans, and red heels – however, some on social media began questioning whether her bump was ‘fake’, and whether she had covered it with ‘body make-up’.

Anne was having none of it and made light of the scrutiny on Instagram, sharing a glimpse inside her red carpet preparation. She captioned a video: “Fake hair, real bump. Enjoy The @endofoakstreet Block Party chaos with me as my outfit literally melts in the heat!!”
Sharing an update on motherhood at the premiere, she explained how different her pregnancy feels this time around. “I was in my 30s with my other two, and I’m so different now,” she told People Magazine. “Something happened when I turned 40.
“I just realised that this isn’t a dress rehearsal. It’s all real. I’m not saving it up for my future self. It’s all happening right now. And so I think I’m just better at being present in the moment, living in gratitude, not taking anything for granted.
“So I think all of those things are coming together, and it’s a real time to enjoy.”

The Princess Diaries star, who has been married to Adam since 2012 – announced her baby news in a sweet video on Instagram. In the clip, she was seen wearing a flowy white dress and shielding her stomach.
While listening to Baby I’m Yours, she dropped her arms to reveal her stomach, with the caption: “Baby, I’m yours x.” She and Adam are also parents to sons Jonathan and Jack.
Anne has been booked and busy for the majority of the year, with Mother Mary, The Devil Wears Prada 2 and The Odyssey already out, and Verity still to come later this year.
She was in LA to celebrate The End of Oak Street, which is hitting cinemas on August 14. The flick, also starring Ewan McGregor, Maisy Stella and Christian Convery, follows a family who are forced into action when their neighbourhood is transported to an unknown place, with dinosaurs roaming around.
The official synopsis reads: “After a mysterious cosmic event rips Oak Street from suburbia and transports their neighbourhood to someplace unknown, the Platt family soon discovers that their very survival depends on them sticking together as they navigate their now unrecognisable surroundings.”
