POP legend Chesney Hawkes broke down in tears live on Good Morning Britain today as he reminisced over his late best mate.
The One And Only hitmaker, 53, had tears in his eyes and dabbed his face as he recalled the life of Vic Irvine who was laid to rest last week.

Vic was Chesney’s childhood pal and diagnosed with lung cancer in 2021.
During Chesney’s chat with Good Morning Britain anchors Susanna Reid and Ed Balls on Thursday’s episode, his new sombre-sounding track played out in the background.
When Susanna suggested it was centred on “loss” he choked up and told her of his mourning.
As the conversation took a sad turn, Susanna, 54, encouraged the I’m A Man Not A Boy hitmaker to open up about his friendship with Vic as she praised him for addressing his emotions.
Back in 2023, he gave his tickets for West Ham’s European final to Vic – before the club presented him with some of his own to join him.
Reminiscing on the moment on today’s ITV daytime show as a video of them in the crowd played out, he told the hosts: “Thats Vic on the left.
“You can see how happy we were. Obviously we won.
“Oh bless him.”
As he became overwhelmed with emotion and took a pause, Susanna said: “Oh it’s so hard.
“I am so sorry Chesney.”
He continued: “It’s odd that I’m talking about a song about loss right now at this particular moment in time but you know,” before wiping his eyes.
“But he loved the song, he did, he loved it.
“He told me it was the way he was going to keep a connection with his loved ones.
“That’s what it’s about basically.”

Later in the chat, Chesney revealed the pair’s sweet nicknames for each other.
He said: “We used to call each other TC – trusty companions.
“We had such an unbreakable bond.”
One fan was quick to gush on X: “What a lovely man Chesney Hawkes is.”
Another put: “Chesney is 53 he still has a boyish looks.”
STRONG BOND
Back in December, Vic told how Chesney’s new music was keeping him going amid his stage 4 cancer battle.
It came after the hitmaker released the track Live Forever in tribute to him.
Talking to BBC Radio Solent Dorset Breakfast show host Steve Harris, Vic said: “We go back to before he was famous. It’s been a ride, it really has.
“We’ve had some good times, some not so good, but it’s been brilliant.”
Talking of the impact of the track, he said: “Ches doing this, that’s the things that keep me going.
“It’s an outrageous life I lead, to be totally honest with you.”
