HODA Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager have broken down into tears during a recent interview.
The Today hosts were joined by Your Mama’s Kitchen podcast host Michelle Norris – and were hit with some pretty emotional questions on Friday’s show.

Nearing the end of the video, Michelle asked both Hoda, 59, and Jenna, 41, to close their eyes and picture their childhood kitchen.
Jenna went first and discussed how she would sit at the kitchen table and her father, former President George W. Bush, would sit with her and help her with her math homework.
“He was patient,” Jenna said, “[He] sat there with me and stayed with me even though I would yell at him and sort of take out my frustration.”
Michelle responded: “That’s not just about math, that was saying ‘I will always be here for you and you can always count on me'”
“Are you a therapist?” Jenna asked as she teared up.
‘WHAT JUST HAPPENED?’
When discussing her childhood kitchen, Hoda spoke fondly of her late father who passed away when she was in college.
“Our kitchen, I remember, the table very clearly and my dad’s position at the table. He sat at the head of the table and every night at the end he would have an apple and blueberries.”
The US daytime TV host began to cry: “This is weird but I remember not knowing how to sit at the table without him because we all had our place.”
After Hoda finished up her story, Jenna laughed: “Oh my God. What just happened?”
“We need some Kleenex,” Michelle shouted.
Jenna also brought up that Hoda takes after her father as she has an apple every day.
Then, Jenna said while waving her cards near her face: “You’ve hit something so beautiful and meaningful that you asked us one question and we’re weeping.”
CHILDHOOD MEMORIES
Jenna revealed more about her childhood during an interview with Kelly Clarkson on Monday.
Kelly, 41, showed a picture of Jenna and her sister, Barbara, in matching blue dresses when they were younger.
“We were chubby,” Jenna admitted.
Kelly disagreed: “You were not!”
“Well, we were,” the Today host replied.
Not there,” Barbara interveined.
Jenna agreed: “Not there, but I was.”
“I don’t think you know what chubby is,” the US daytime TV host said.
Moments later, they spoke about not being able to fit in their clothes anymore.
“Ugh, I don’t fit into mine. I love losing weight but here’s the thing. Jeans are so hard, I feel like when you have a butt and a smaller waist,” Kelly said while the audience cheered her on.
Jenna questioned: “Do you want me to take you jean shopping?”
“I don’t want to go shopping,” Kelly said.
“Shall I just do what I do for Hoda [Kotb] and send you some jeans?” Jenna asked.
Kelly laughed while Jenna said they’ll “figure it out.”
