This Morning’s Ben Shephard left Chris Hughes blushing live on air today when he congratulated the Big Brother star on his new romance with JoJo Siwa. It comes after JoJo confirmed that she was in “a lovely relationship with a sweet boy named Christopher Hughes” in a Capital interview yesterday.
While earlier this week, Chris shared a now-deleted post of them cuddling h@lf-nak3d in b3d together. The photo saw Chris kissing JoJo on the head while she lay on his bare chest, with the Love Island star captioning the post: “Sleeping beauty.”
Ben Shephard asked Chris about his relationship with JoJo Siwa
Speaking live on This Morning, Ben asked Chris: “Can we just say, because obviously we’re all talking about, congratulations on the relationship.
“We’re all very excited. Have we decided on whether it’s Hughes-wa? What’s the power couple name?”
A grinning Chris replied: “They call it CoJo. That’s the one they’re all going for. Chris-JoJo, it works. It rolls off the tongue, doesn’t it? Thanks guys, I appreciate it.”
The pair have been driving the internet wild since their stint on Celebrity Big Brother, developing a tactile bond while on the ITV2 show.
The status of their relationship became subject of much speculation among viewers – particularly as JoJo was in a relationship with partner Kath Ebbs at the time and identified as a lesbian.
While in the Celebrity Big Brother house, JoJo opened up about her sexuality and shared to Danny Beard: “I’ve realised I am not a lesbian, I’m queer.”
After the show’s finale in April, Kath revealed that she had been d::mped by JoJo after the after party, despite flying over from Australia to see her.
A heartbroken Kath said: “In the last eight hours I flew here and went to the live show to show up for my partner and support them in their experience and later on [I hoped to] address my feelings of hurt and work through them like in all relationships.”
She added: “I went to the after party with my now ex – crazy thing to say – and I was d::mped in the after party. I was told there are confused feelings there – do with that what you will – and they realised in the house that I wasn’t the person they wanted to spend the foreseeable…”
Ahead of confirming her relationship with Chris, JoJo gushed about him in an Instagram post about her birthday celebrations in Mexico.
“My heart is smiling so big with tears in my eyes,” she wrote alongside a complication video featuring Chris. “This birthday week is one that I will cherish for the rest of my life. I can’t quite put it into words… the best I can say is it’s been the most magical week of my life, truly the way it feels.”
They were later spotted kissing in a pool while on their Mexican break.
