Sunday Brunch: Host apologises after Jenny Eclair swears on air
Sunday Brunch presenters were compelled to issue an apology after a guest boldly used profanity during the live broadcast.
The popular Channel 4 programme made its return to television screens on Sunday (October 19) for another morning filled with cuisine, comedy and musical entertainment.
Presenters Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer welcomed an array of celebrity guests to the studio.
During the established show, the duo engaged in conversation with personalities including actor Nigel Planer, comedian Jenny Eclair, vocalist Miles Kane and West End star Samantha Barks, whilst rock group Feeder also delivered a performance.
Nevertheless, the atmosphere became uncomfortable when Tim and Simon settled down to discuss Jenny’s ongoing tour, Jokes, Jokes, Jokes, Live!, reports the Mirror.

Whilst appearing on Sunday Brunch and discussing her performance, Jenny revealed: “I do punk poetry from the early days in this show. But obviously I can’t do it now because it’s filthy.”
Despite this warning, Jenny proceeded to declare: “One’s called t**s, the other called fanny!”. Tim and Simon appeared stunned by Jenny’s comment and buried their faces in their hands. Jenny subsequently remarked: ” Oh I didn’t know that was wrong sorry!”

Speaking about the Sunday Brunch production team, Jenny continued: “I did ask some other questions about what things I was allowed to say [on the show] and they just said no.”
Tim then remarked: “If you ever ask to ask what you’re allowed to say and the answer is no…” He swiftly followed up with an apology, stating: “Can I apologise for the two words she said.”
Jenny retorted: “Oh right, ok.” She then addressed the audience directly, saying: “I do hope you’re not offended and if you are, do not come and see my show.”
