Strictly Come Dancing’s Wynne Evans hit out at his former co-stars in a since-deleted post about fake friendships. The Go Compare star was axed from the Strictly Live Tour after making an inappropriate sexual remark and which led to the cancellation of his BBC Radio Wales show.
He wrote on October 10: “Here’s what I learnt from Strictly. If you think you’ve built a real connection, you haven’t. You’ve paid for their time – and once the cameras stop, so does the care. But here, it’s real. The people who listen, message, and laugh with me – you – are genuine. This isn’t showbiz, it’s community. And I’ll always choose that.”
As well as entry into regular prize draws, members can get discounts to his shows, a mention on his radio program and the right to call themself a ‘Wynner”.
Wynne describes Wynners as “a community of people bound by kindness, courage and shared stories”. On his website, he added: “Cynics can be cynical. What I’m building with the Wynners goes far beyond what traditional radio offers. We’re creating something listeners describe as ‘their daily tonic’, a morning of fun and friendship.”
Monday’s edition of This Morning was disrupted by a thrilling engagement reveal delivered by presenters Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley.

Halfway through the programme, normal broadcasting was paused as Cat disclosed that a member of the This Morning crew had recently popped the question to their other half.
“At the end of last week, our lovely art director Matty got engaged to his partner of 10 years, Luke,” Cat announced, as the camera switched to Matty.

Ben continued: “Matty got down on one knee whilst holidaying on a cruise ship. So, of course, there was only one person who could help him seal the deal…”
He proceeded to reveal particulars of the proposal, which took place on a cruise ship with assistance from renowned singer Jane McDonald, reports Wales Online.

Footage of Jane was shown, with the performer seen stopping her performance to spot Matty in the audience and welcome him onto the stage, presenting him as “Matty from ITV”.
“How long have you been together?” she enquired of Matty, as his boyfriend Luke accompanied the duo on stage. When he confirmed they’d been a couple for a decade, Jane then suggested matrimony.
“10 years! I think it’s about time you did something about it, don’t you?” Jane urged, with Matty shortly getting down on one knee and asking his “best friend” to marry him.
Ben and Cat grinned as the footage revealed Luke accepting Matty’s proposal, who then confirmed he’d been orchestrating the proposal for numerous months, having originally contacted Jane in December 2024 whilst she was promoting a Pantomime.
“Congratulations. What a lovely way to start the week!” Ben cheered. “And, thank you to Jane as well!”

Jane has a long history of performing on cruise ships and has also developed TV shows centred around cruising, including the award-winning Cruising with Jane McDonald.
This Morning’s Monday episode also featured an interview with ex-TOWIE star Pete Wicks, who spilled the beans about his new TV show, along with top winter skincare advice from beauty guru Nadine Baggott.
In other news, Sian Welby delivered the latest entertainment updates, while Ben and Cat were joined by Alun Ebenezer, a headteacher whose stringent school rules have sparked considerable debate in recent months.
