The father and son duo finally reunited!
Many royal fans may be scratching their heads, wondering what Prince Harry and King Charles caught up on during their brief meeting at Clarence House on Wednesday.
The father and son shocked royal observers as they reunited for the first time since their fleeting meet-up 19 months ago, following Charles’ cancer diagnosis last year.
Now, former royal butler Grant Harrold has shed light on what he believes the two royals may have discussed.

What Prince Harry and King Charles may have discussed during their Clarence House meeting
Prince Harry, 40, and King Charles, 76, sat down for a “private tea” at Clarence House on September 10.
While nobody knows exactly what happened in the 55-minute meeting, the king’s former butler Grant Harrold has shared a glimpse into what the two royals may have chatted about.
Of course, we don’t actually know what Harry and Charles discussed as much of the meeting has remained private.
Speaking about he meeting in general, on behalf of OLBG, Grant said: “I’m sure it wouldn’t have been the easiest of conversations, I imagine it would have been slightly awkward on both sides. There is only so much talking their advisors can do, at the end of the day it needs to be father and son sitting down to resolve this.
“But we may never know the outcome of this. We may see relations improve or decrease depending on the outcome of this, but only time will tell.”

1. Privacy and trust
Grant explains that privacy was probably a key topic in the pair’s meeting.
Grant believes that the pair may have even made an agreement about what information was made public following their meeting.
He said: “That’s a big thing for the king. Before any conversation even began, he would have wanted to make sure that their discussion remained private. I think they would have agreed that any future statements about the meeting would be mutually agreed.”
2. Harry’s recent charity work
Of course, we know the two royals haven’t had face -to-face time properly for over a year and a half, so having a catch up about Harry’s recent charity work was likely near the top of this list, Grant reckons. Especially as Harry has been making headlines for his generous donations to charities.
“The king would have asked about Harry’s work, especially his trip to the UK. He would have asked about his charity projects, as he knows how passionate Harry is about his work,” Grant says.
3. Meghan Markle
Grant believes that during their meeting, Charles would have been keen to learn more about what the Duke of Sussex and his family have been up to. He may have even touched on whether the Sussexes will be returning to the UK as a unit, to spend time with the royal family.
Grant believes: “The king will ask questions about how Meghan is and what they’ve been up to. He’ll also ask about their family. He will also be keen to find out if Harry’s family will return to the UK at any point, as he will be keen to spend time with them.”
4. Harry’s relationship with Prince William
Undoubtedly, one elephant in the room during their reunion may have been Harry’s ongoing rift with his brother, Prince William.
This may have been a topic that Charles would have approached carefully, in an attempt to bring the two siblings together.
Grant predicts: “I think they’ll discuss other family members, and possibly reflect on their memories with the late Queen. I imagine they will also discuss Harry’s relationship with his brother, as the king will be keen for them to reunite.”
Could a proper reunion be on the cards for the royals? We’ll have to wait and see…
