After his final appearance in the UK after his four-day visit, a spokesperson for Prince Harry provided an insight into how the trip has gone. Suggesting it has been a success, he said: “He’s obviously loved being back in the UK, catching up with old friends, colleagues and just generally being able to support the incredible work of the causes that mean so much to him.”
The Duke’s final outing in his home country came on Thursday morning when he carried out an engagement linked to the Diana Award in the capital. He took part in a panel discussion alongside the award’s CEO, Dr Tessy Ojo, on how social action positively impacts mental health with four young people.
Prince Harry is now expected to fly back to the US to be reunited with Meghan and their two young children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Prince Harry has had a busy four days during his return to the UK. He arrived in the UK on Monday, with his first public appearance at the WellChild Awards in London that evening. Harry, 40, also travelled to Windsor to visit the burial place of the late Queen Elizabeth II on the third anniversary of her death.
Harry then travelled to Nottingham on Tuesday to carry out an engagement at the Community Recording Studio. The following day, he carried out an engagement at the Centre for Blast Injury Studies at Imperial College London, before travelling to meet his father, King Charles, for the first time in 19 months.
He then travelled to the Gherkin in Central London for an Invictus Games reception. Asked how his father was by a reporter shortly after arriving at the Invictus reception, he replied: “Yes, he’s great, thank you.”

The Duke’s final appearance in London for the Diana Award was an especially poignant touch. It which was set up in memory of his mother back in 1999 with the goal of continuing Diana, Princess of Wales’ legacy by recognising the selfless community work of young people.
He gave a short speech to the audience: “Thank you all for being here. I don’t know how you were as individuals, all of you… five, ten years ago pre-Diana Award, but to see you sitting up here now with the confidence you have, speaking to a complete group of strangers is proof of the fact this whole thing works.”
“You talk about the mental health piece that is woven through so much of this and it is, it’s emotional… it’s mental and emotional wellbeing,” he continued.
“In every single Diana Awardee, in every single young person and middle-aged person and probably old people as well. Our mental health and our emotional health through our nervous system is being tested every single day.
“And this proven model of being engaged with or finding your purpose with social action, it really does work. You guys are testament to that. Otherwise you’re sitting there feeling hopeless.
“You have the hope. My point is that if you’re a young person it can sometimes feel as though you’re lost and separated from a group and you feel isolated. But I can assure you that there’s nothing wrong with you.”
