Royal fans were not impressed with the latest reports about Prince Harry’s new life in the UK. The Duke of Sussex returned to his homeland on Thursday alongside his wife, Meghan Markle, and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Harry, Meghan, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet flew into the country on a private plane from California shortly before midday on Wednesday, landing at Birmingham Airport. The family were said to have travelled on a Bombardier Global Express XRS luxury long-range business jet for the overnight flight. A spokesman for the duke and duchess declined to comment on their travel movements, citing the importance of privacy and security.

“This is not something we would comment on,” the spokesman said.

Despite the lack of clarity about the Sussexes’ return, the spokesman confirmed that the couple’s brood of chickens would remain in Montecito for care and that they were bringing their dogs, Mia and Pula, with them.

Now, a new report by The Times has claimed that Harry will be enjoying his new life in the UK as a “stay-at-home dad”.

Archie, seven, and five-year-old Lili have been enrolled in British schools, ready to start in September.

But some fans were not impressed and took to social media to express their views.

One user wrote on X: “Prince Harry is a TRAITOR returning as the unemployed ‘lay about’ he was before he left.”

A second user added: “Imagine thinking you’re going to take care of children and leave them in school for 12 hours a day. What a joke!

A third one commented: “‘Staying at home dad’? You still have nannies, housekeepers, chefs and gardeners. The kids are at school until mid-afternoon. Watching Archie play rugby once a week does not make you a stay-at-home dad. That’s not how it works, hun.”

A fourth one said: “Haz a stay home dad—- no F****** way…”

A fifth one blasted: “Same as he did in USA! Nothing.”

The family is said to be settling in the UK for an “extended period” of time, amid speculation as to how long they will stay and where they will live, with the Cotswolds being suggested as the most likely destination.

Some reports suggested that the family would remain only for the autumn, while others said Harry planned to live in the UK for the next 12 to 15 years to give his children a British education.

Harry and Meghan, who are remaining as non-working royals, quit the monarchy six years ago amid the Megxit crisis, relocating to the US from where they criticised members of the royal family and the institution.
