King Charles has shared a poignant message of remembrance to the United States as Buckingham Palace marked the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks.
The official Instagram account representing the King and Queen Camilla released an emotional video on Friday, September 11, commemorating those affected by the tragedy a quarter of a century ago.
The reel included footage connected to the royal couple as well as scenes from a special Changing of the Guard ceremony at Buckingham Palace.
Alongside the video, the Palace wrote: “Remembering all those affected by the tragic events of 9/11, 25 years ago today.”
The message marked another public expression of solidarity from the Royal Family towards the United States on one of the country’s most sombre anniversaries.
During the commemorative ceremony at Buckingham Palace, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester took the Royal Salute on behalf of King Charles.
