SH0CK: Rylan Clark’s world turned upside down. Star stops all work when her mother is hospitalized leaving fans in tears and praying for her

Rylan Clark has shared a worrying update with fans, revealing that his beloved mother Linda, 72, has been rushed to hospital due to a mystery illness. In a heartfelt Instagram post, the TV presenter thanked emergency staff at Princess Alexandra Hospital and explained that he would not be hosting his BBC Radio 2 show this Saturday.

“Mummy Linda isn’t well sadly so I won’t be hosting the show tomorrow,” Rylan wrote. “Thank you to the emergency team at Princess Alexandra Hospital. Especially Tanya who really looked after my mum. Will keep you updated as she’s on the mend. She’s a trooper x.”

Linda, who became a fan favourite through her appearances with Rylan on Celebrity Gogglebox, has had a long history of health struggles. She suffers from Crohn’s disease—a chronic and debilitating condition that has impacted her life since her 30s.

In 2023, Linda endured a serious fall in Marbella that required emergency surgery. Rylan flew her home via private jet and kept fans updated throughout her recovery, sharing that she was “chatting away” and “on the mend.”

Crohn’s has long shaped Linda’s day-to-day life, often requiring surgeries and extensive medication. Rylan previously revealed that she lost her job because of the condition, and the emotional toll was deeply felt throughout his childhood.

“She was so embarrassed about her symptoms, sometimes I couldn’t even have mates over,” he once shared. Linda also survived a life-threatening battle with sepsis in 2018 and spent six weeks in hospital back in 2017 due to complications from Crohn’s.

Despite these challenges, Linda continues to fight. “She’s doing really well… she’s on the mend,” Rylan recently told fans.
