STRICTLY SLIP-UP: Emma Willis Leaves BBC Stars Speechless After Letting Something Big Out On Air

Emma Willis has revealed a Strictly Come Dancing launch show spoiler. The popular BBC dancing show is due to make its comeback next month, featuring numerous fresh changes. Following the exits of Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, the BBC announced that The Voice UK presenter Emma would be assuming hosting duties, alongside comedian Josh Widdicombe and professional dancer Johannes Radebe.
That’s not all, as Emma recently disclosed that former contestant Ellie Taylor would be assuming control of Strictly’s spin-off programme, It Takes Two. “I’m absolutely over the moon,” Ellie told Emma live on BBC Radio 2. “I feel giddy! It’s so nice to get the secret out though!” reports Wales Online.

Emma appeared ive on BBC’s The One Show on Thursday (August 20), where she discussed Love Is Blind and the forthcoming series of Strictly with hosts Clara Amfo and Roman Kemp.
“Speaking of jobs, Emma, Strictly, [which is] back in autumn. Presenting with your brand-new TV husbands, Josh Widdecombe and Johannes Radebe,” Roman said. “How are you settling in?”
Emma replied: “Do you know what, great. For the last week, we’ve been spending loads of time together.”
She subsequently dropped a significant teaser regarding the forthcoming Strictly launch show, which is scheduled to be recorded on Wednesday, September 9, before the episode broadcasts on Saturday, September 19.
“Today, actually, I’ve been in dance rehearsals,” Emma said, hinting that audiences will witness some of her own impressive dance moves in the launch show, as Clara and Roman both appeared shocked.

Emma immediately burst into laughter at the presenters’ expressions, saying: “Look at your faces! That’s all I can say. Wait for the launch show. It’s gonna be fun. It’s been great. I’m hugely honoured to be part of it.”
An enthusiastic Clara then remarked: “You three are going to be fab!”
Gavin and Stacey actress Melanie Walters completed the 2026 line-up last week. She will be joined by Lacey Turner, Dani Dyer, Delta Goodrem, Chris Appleton, Cach Mercer, Will Best, Dame Sarah Storey, and Jaime Winstone.
The roster is rounded out by Bethany Antonia, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Graeme Hall, Lawrence Robb, Tabby Stoecker, and John Nellis.
