Meghan Markle has shared a new video of her and Prince Harry arriving at the 40th anniversary celebration of The David Foster Foundation in Canada on Friday. The video shows the Duke and Duchess of Sussex walking through a corridor lined with bagpipers in kilts.

Both Harry and Meghan look amazed and delighted to see the bagpipers, taking time to talk to them and enjoy the moment. It is believed the sight of the bagpipers could be a fond reminder for Harry of his memories of Scotland, the country the Royal Family famously retreat to in the summer holidays. The video also features Harry and Meghan speaking, bringing with it some fresh revelations.

This includes the revelation that Harry “loves bagpipes”, with Meghan saying this when she first sees all the bagpipers lined up.

The Duke of Sussex, 41, then claims he can play both “pipes and drums”, asking jokingly: “Where are mine?”

This gets a laugh from the bagpipers, who look equally as delighted to see The Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

The foundation was set up in 1986 to provide financial support for Canadian families with children who need life-saving organ transplants. The foundation also aims to raise awareness of organ donation in Canada and the US.

Harry and Meghan looked delighted to be at the gala, taking photographs on the red carpet and enjoying the live music that was being played.

Meghan also shared a video on her Instagram story of some of the food on offer, panning the camera to a smiling Prince Harry.

Their children, Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five, did not attend the event with them.

It marks the couple’s first joint appearance since their UK trip last month. While Harry spent almost a week in his home country, Meghan only flew in towards the end of the trip with their two children.

Meghan, Archie and Lilibet made no public appearances and instead were just in the UK for private family time. This included a reunion with King Charles and Queen Camilla, as well as a stay at Althorp with Harry’s uncle Earl Charles Spencer.
