Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were humiliated on live TV as a GB News presenter spoke to locals in the Cotswolds about the couple. The pair are said to be moving to the UK, and close to King Charles’ Highgrove residence in Gloucestershire, and will be sending their children, Archie and Lilibet, to school nearby.

But it seems some locals are not happy with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s decision to move there. National reporter Jack Carson went to Cirencester to speak to market stall holders, and one in particular did not hold back. When asked his thoughts on the couple moving back, he said: “I don’t think they should come back to the UK. I think they decided that they didn’t want anything to do with the royals.

“I think Meghan, none of that got anything against her personally. But she didn’t want anything to do with the royal family. And I think the things that they have said and what they’ve done, I think they’d be better if they stayed in America.”

He then addressed whether the move could bring Harry and Charles closer, saying: “That would be very good. I mean, I’ve had it with my son where we sort of parted company a little bit. It would be very nice if

they could get back together again. Yes, that would be really, really good.

“I know that from being a father myself and my one son decided he didn’t want a lot to do with us. But we are talking, and we’re getting on a lot better now. So hopefully that would be the same for Harry and for the king as well.”

The local continued: “But like I said, I don’t really think that they should be coming back here. You know, but it’d be nice if they could reconcile with their father.”

He was asked what Harry and Meghan could expect from living in the Cotswolds, which is now home to a number of celebrities, including the Beckhams, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi, and Jeremy Clarkson.
The market stall holder said: “Well, it’s a wonderful place to live, isn’t it? You know, I don’t actually live in the Cotswolds myself. We come up from the forest, but I’ve been coming here for a long time and I think it’s a lovely area and lovely people.

“And obviously, there are a lot of celebrities and everything that are around this area. So yeah, it is a lovely area to live.”
