Fans of Good Morning Britain have hit out at Prince Harry’s decision to return to the UK, after he previously aired concerns about his security. Five years after Prince Harry quit life as a working royal, he has been back in the UK this week conducting charitable engagements.
The Duke of Sussex has been estranged from his family since he and his wife, Meghan Markle, quit royal duties in 2020 and moved to California. During his recent four-day trip, he has been conducting a series of engagements, meetings, and receptions in support of the half a dozen charities he has affiliations with. However, while visiting, Harry was asked about his memoir book, Spare, where he told all of his family’s secrets. During an appearance in Ukraine, after visiting the UK, Prince Harry said his “conscience is clear” as he defended his controversial book. GMB presenter Ranvir Singh said that the former Royal had denied “airing dirty laundry” as news correspondent Richard Gaisford said that the book was a way for him to “set the record straight”.

But as the ITV show aired a report on the Prince’s comments, fans at home turned their attention to his security concerns. Posting to X (Twitter), one questioned: “So is his bank account it would seem now he’s back out on the stage.
“I thought he said he wouldn’t be coming back to England unless he got full security?! The ‘man’ is a grifter & that of the highest order. Harry & Starmer would make great pals. #HarryWho.”
Meanwhile, another noted: “He’s not too worried about his security there,” and someone else said: “I thought he wanted security.”

It comes as GMB noted that King Charles’ attention would now be turning to a visit from US President Donald Trump, as the ITV show highlighted the amount of security being put into place in preparation. Richard told the audience: “There is a huge police operation underway.
“Met Police are saying that they are now prepared for a high-level threat.” The reporter shared that there will be 55 drones in the air, as part of a 24/7 security operation.
Drains and bins around Windsor are already being searched, and the Guard of Honour is “ready” for the visit.
