Good Morning Britain presenter Susanna Reid issued a “dangerous” news update just moments into Tuesday’s (December 9) episode of the popular ITV breakfast show.

Alongside co-host Richard Madeley, Susanna was quick to alert viewers about a potential threat to life as Storm Bram sweeps across the UK.

Addressing viewers at home, Susanna began the show by stating: “Good Morning Britain. Warnings of danger to life.”

She went on to detail the impact of Storm Bram, which is bringing heavy rain and strong winds to the West and North of the UK, with gusts reaching up to 90 miles per hour, potentially causing damage to homes.

She continued: “Storm Bram is sweeping into the UK. It came overnight, bringing massive downpours and dangerous winds.”

Susanna also highlighted the amber weather warnings in place, the second highest level, warning of a risk to life in several areas, reports Wales Online.

Co-presenter Richard added: “As we speak there are also flood warnings and more than a 100 flood alerts in place across the country.”

The programme then switched to chief correspondent Richard Gaisford, reporting live from Monmouth, South Wales, one of the areas under an amber warning.

This follows a recent broadcast where GMB hosts Kate and Adil informed viewers that millions were advised to remain indoors due to the impending arrival of Storm Eowyn, which was predicted to bring ‘potentially life-threatening winds.’

During the programme, they crossed over to reporter Nick, who was stationed in West Scotland. Dressed in a blue raincoat with his hood up, he battled against the fierce winds, making it difficult for him to speak.

A concerned Kate observed: “To me, we almost don’t need to speak to you because we can see how much you’re under pressure from those winds. And the red warning doesn’t even arrive until 10am, does it.”

She then asked: “Are you okay?” A winded Nick responded: “Yeah, I’m okay. We’re relatively safe here and I could do with a coffee right now but the conditions have really intensified in the last hour.”

Despite his reassurances, the journalist continued to struggle to maintain his footing as the wind buffeted him
