BREAKING: ITV issues URGENT ANNOUNCEMENT as Kaye Adams Loose Women pulled from air after DISASTROUS meeting

    Loose Women

Insiders at ITV have shared an update on Kaye Adams after she was taken off-air from her BBC radio role.

The journalist, 62, first appeared on the broadcaster’s very first episode of Loose Women in 1999, where she served as anchor alongside EastEnders actress Nadia Sawalha, Jane Moore, and Baroness Karren Brady.

She stayed with the programme until 2002, but made a comeback in 2013 and has remained with the show every since. Alongside her Loose Women gig, Kaye has held a £155,000 a year job as the host of her own show on BBC Radio Scotland.

The former Strictly Come Dancing star usually hosts Mornings With Kaye Adams several days a week but the show has been off-air for two weeks now after it was reported that bosses had launched an inquiry into complaints that she ‘shouted and screamed’ at junior staff.

    Kaye Adams

Following the furore, ITV are now said to be standing by Kaye and will allow her to continue hosting Loose Women during the inquiry.

A source told the Daily Mail: “Kaye is regarded as one of the more calm members of the Loose Women cast.” It is thought that the complaints came about through the BBC’s Call It Out scheme, which was set up to deal with questionable behaviour after the scandal involving former MasterChef presenters John Torode and Gregg Wallace unfolded.

A source from the BBC confirmed to the outlet that Kaye is not expected to return to her radio show for at least two weeks, but a spokesperson for the TV star insisted that “no complaints had been presented to her by the BBC.”

They added: “Further, she has worked for BBC Radio Scotland for more than 15 years and in that time has never had any issue raised about her.” BBC Scotland did not comment on the matter, but one insider has explained that bosses are ‘taking these things seriously’ in light of recent events.

The source said: “Kaye has been taken off air, she’s gone. There have been complaints about her behaviour, and they’ve removed her while they investigate it. It’s being talked about all over Pacific Quay [BBC Scotland’s headquarters]. The outlet also claimed that Kaye had recently attended a meeting with the new head of audio, Victoria Easton-Riley, but it ‘did not go well’.

“After the Gregg Wallace fiasco, they’re now getting much tougher on complaints about the talent and are starting to take these things seriously.”

MasterChef hoste Wallace was dismissed from the BBC show following an independent investigation into historical allegations of misconduct. The report found 45 allegations of misconduct were substantiated, including inappropriate language and humour. Meanwhile, his co-star John Torode was alleged to have used a racist slur and was also dropped from the series.

BBC Scotland have refused to comment on the allegation but said that Adams has not left the organisation permanently. The BBC said it has “robust internal processes” to handing concerns like these.

The BBC said: “We would not comment on individuals. If any complaints or concerns are raised, we have robust internal processes in place to manage these.” The Mirror has reached out to representatives for Kaye Adams.

It is believed the complaint was raised under the BBC’s Call It Out scheme to address poor behaviour in the workplace which is an initiative set up in the aftermath of the scandal over former MasterChef presenter Gregg Wallace. Kaye has been replaced on air by Connie McLaughlin while investigations are ongoing.

This comes as Kaye recently opened up about her recent health scare after attending a Pilates class that left her “really scared” she was having a stroke.

Kaye explained that at a reformer Pilates class she went to over the weekend, she was hit by a wave of dizziness and lost her balance.

Opening up about the experience on the How to be 60 podcast, she shared that the “horrible” physical feelings made her fear the worst was happening. “Do you know what I’ve had recently, it’s the funniest thing,” she started. “I went to my Pilates last Sunday, the reformer Pilates, I call it disco Pilates, because it’s all bright lights and music.

“I got off the reformer and my goodness the world began to spin. Like a Tom and Jerry cartoon when there’s birds going around the head. I thought, ‘Oh my God I’m having a stroke’.”

She added: “I was really scared actually, it was horrible. I just couldn’t get my balance.” Kaye continued to admit that what was actually happening was “really weird”. She concluded: “I’ve checked it out and apparently it’s vertigo. Apparently it’s crystals in your ear that get dislodged and you can be prone to it. It’s a really weird thing.”

SAD NEWS: Kelvin Fletcher’s WORRY Grows As Family Farm Hit By Another Crisis That Could Leave Land RUINED

Kelvin and Liz Fletcher with their kids on their Cheshire farm

Kelvin Fletcher and his farming family are facing yet another disaster on their Cheshire land in an upcoming episode of their ITV show. The ex Emmerdale star and his family are back with a third series of Fletchers’ Family Farm – however, the show started on a sombre note when their farmhouse was destroyed by a blaze.

Unfortunately, the Fletchers’ troubles don’t stop there – with Kelvin learning in next week’s episode that their oat crop could be “devastated” by an infestation. Showing the cameras his oat field in the show, Kelvin admits that he’s “worried” about the crop after it loses his colour.

Kelvin Fletcher's family farm has been hit by fresh disaster

After enlisting the help of agronomist Ben, who has been helping the family with their soil, he discovered that leatherjackets have taken hold of the soil. Leatherjackets are the larvae of some crane flies, which can embed in lawns and soil before eating the roots.

“Ah, look at that – is that a leatherjacket?” Ben says as he goes through the soil. “A leatherjacket is like a little grub and they come in rings in the field and you’ll find there are bare patches in the field where they have just mauled and eaten the seed.

“There – there’s a leatherjacket,” he tells a disappointed Kelvin. “They’ll eat the root system of your grass and now your oats. These can be quite a problem.”

Farming agronomist Ben delivers the bad news to Kelvin

When Kelvin asks whether they will “decimate the crop”, Ben replies: “They really can be devastated but generally speaking, they’re in circles across the field.” Despite the alarming news, Kelvin and wife Liz will need to wait to see whether the leatherjackets have fully invaded the field.

“Ben won’t know the extent of the leatherjacket invasion until the crop is more established,” he tells the show. “If gaps or rings start appearing across the field, it’s usually an indicator that it has spread across the field.”

It’s not all bad news for farmer Kelvin and his first oat crop – Ben confirms that the oat seeds have taken hold in the soil. Elsewhere in the upcoming episode, Kelvin and Liz challenge their kids to make scarecrows to keep the birds and bugs at bay, while Liz comes up with a plan to whip chaotic chickens into shape.

It comes after Kelvin, Liz and their four kids were forced to leave their farm after a fire broke out while they were on holiday. Episode one saw the emotional couple go through the remains of the fire, with Kelvin admitting that all of his clothes had been destroyed.

“The way the year has got off to a busy start, but it hasn’t all been plain sailing,” he said. “While the animals have been thriving, at the end of last year, an unexpected and devastating disaster hit our farmhouse.

“The fire we think has started around there, and then it’s honestly gone up through the roof, and the roof’s completely gone.”

UNACCEPTABLE: Strictly CHAOS As Shirley Ballas’ Savage Remark About Pro Dancer RESURFACES — Fans Say The FEUD Is Real

    Strictly Come Dancing

Strictly Come Dancing fans were left scratching their heads after an unexpected comment from Shirley Ballas. After watching Harry Aikines-Aryeetey and Karen Hauer Rumba in a spectacular performance, Shirley gave her verdict on the pair, but added some odd quips in the process.

She told Karen: “Well, first of all, congratulations, Karen, because you also didn’t stand there like a bump on a log; you were moving from foot to foot. You had choreography that was actually very challenging. I found your cucaracha to be very flexible. But I’m going to have to agree with the young man on the end, it’s the fluidity from foot to foot that is your next project. You have to seamlessly flow from foot to foot in all dancers.”

She did go on to praise their chemistry and the storyline, prompting Karen to smile awkwardly, but viewers were focused on her first comment.

One user shared the comment in a Facebook group asking if anyone else had picked up on the comment about Karen not standing there like a “bump on a log”, as they asked: “What’s that about?”

One user responded: “I thought it was weird too.” While another said: “Just another person she has taken a dislike to,” prompting someone else to claim that they don’t believe Shirley is a fan of the female dancers.” Another added: “Don’t think Shirley likes Karen.”

However, another said that she thought Shirley was being genuine and was simply congratulating Karen for not having Harry just stand there while she danced around him. Prompting one user to follow up: “That’s what I hoped she meant, but when you replay the moment she definitely said, ‘Karen, I want to compliment you for not standing there like a bump on a log.’”

It comes after Shirley faced further backlash after her brutal score of two points for drag star La Voix, claiming she “can’t judge” the routine at all.

The decision sparked fury online, with fans accusing Shirley of being “mean”, “biased” and “toxic”. Awful comments emerged from the judging panel, with users writing on X: “I know that wasn’t a great dance from La Voix, but the collective gasp in our house when Shirley only gave a two!” Another thundered: “The way I gasped seeing Shirley give La Voix a two. Unheard of.”

Elsewhere in the show, Shirley praised contestant Alex so loudly that she even got up on stage to join her as she celebrated her incredible performance in a “show first”.

‘NO MORE EXCUSES’: 𝘙𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘭 𝘙𝘦𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘴’ SH0CK Brexit STATEMENT Sends P0litical Waves Before TAX-RISE Budget

    Rachel Reeves

𝘙𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘭 𝘙𝘦𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘴 has launched a fresh attack on Brexit ahead of her Budget. The Chancellor insisted Britain’s departure from the EU has done long-term damage to the economy.

In remarks published this weekend, she told an international economic committee at the International Monetary Fund (IMF): “The UK’s productivity challenge has been compounded by the way in which the UK left the European Union.”

Ms 𝘙𝘦𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘴 quoted the Office for Budget Responsibility’s estimate of a 4% long-term hit compared to remaining in the bloc. She said the UK “acknowledges this” in seeking stronger trade ties.

It comes as the Chancellor is looking to fill a black hole estimated at around £50 billion by some economists in her statement on November 26 amid intense speculation of major tax hikes.

Ms 𝘙𝘦𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘴 earlier this month admitted she was looking at potential tax rises and spending cuts as she partly blamed Brexit.

She told Sky News the economy was still suffering from the impacts of leaving the European Union, austerity p0licies and Liz Truss’s mini-budget.

She said the OBR had carried out a review over the summer and found “they have consistently overestimated our productivity performance”.

Ms 𝘙𝘦𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘴 said that “austerity, Brexit, and the ongoing impact of Liz Truss’s mini-budget, all of those things have weighed heavily on the UK economy”.

She said: “Already, people thought that the UK economy would be 4% smaller because of Brexit.

“Now, of course, we are undoing some of that damage by the deal that we did with the EU earlier this year on food and farming, goods moving between us and the continent, on energy and electricity trading, on an ambitious youth mobility scheme.

“But there is no doubting that the impact of Brexit is severe and long lasting and that’s why we are trying to do trade deals around the world, US, India, but most importantly with the EU so that our exporters here in Britain have a chance to sell things made here all around the world.”

Dianne Buswell has broken her silence with an emotional statement after being forced to withdraw from Strictly Come Dancing 2025. Her celebrity partner Stefan Dennis has sustained an injury which means he is unable to go any further in the BBC competition, leaving Dianne without a partner. Now she has said she’s “so sorry” in a post on Instagram.

Dianne wrote: “Stefo I’m so sorry our Strictly journey was cut short just as that confidence was starting to grow. But you can walk away with your head held high. You can go home to your wonderful wife, put your hand out and say, ‘Would you like to cha cha cha with me?’

“The main reason for being on this show was to be able to dance with her and you can certainly do that now. You are the kindest human I have ever worked with and I can always say I got to dance with the iconic Neighbours legend Stefan Dennis or as my dad calls ya Paul Robinson.”

She concluded: “Can’t wait for you to send me the video of you and Gail dancing together!”

Dianne’s co-stars rushed to commiserate with her, with James Jordan penning: “What a shame, gutted for you both. I felt he was just scratching the surface and knew you would get it out of him. Sending love to you both.”

Her partner Joe Sugg left two love heart emojis on the post, while Amber Davies wrote: “The best duo. Heart’s broken for you both. What a team.”

Stefan, meanwhile, issued a statement which read: “This morning I woke up to the most disappointing day of the time in my Strictly journey. Just when I had finally gained the confidence to do well with my dancing in the comp and achieve more great dances along the way, I was told that on Saturday I had torn my calf so significantly that I am now forced to withdraw from the show.

“I can’t tell you how devastated I am to have to leave so prematurely especially, as there has been, and still is, so much love and support from everyone for both Dianne and myself. I owe both the Strictly Family and Dianne a massive debt of gratitude for giving me the opportunity to fulfil my dream of being able to dance with my wife. (When my leg is better)

Nick Knowles, 63, previously opened up about his heartbreak following the d3ath of his dad.

The presenter has been a regular on TV screens for years. From stints on Strictly Come Dancing to DIY SOS – which repeats on BBC One today (October 18) – Nick has kept busy.

However, Nick Knowles was left devastated when his dad tragically d!ed, with Nick later candidly admitting that he let his father down “at the most difficult time in his life”.

Appearing on the D3ath: A Changing Industry podcast in 2024, Nick reflected on his “hero” father’s d3ath, when the presenter was 33. “Suddenly with the stroke, he was very emotional and would cry,” Nick said, discussing his late father’s illness.

The DIY SOS star added: “And I found that incredibly difficult so I didn’t visit him when he was in the care home as much as I should’ve done in the last year of his life.”

Revealing his regret, Nick explained: “And then he passed away and I had this moment of realisation that I’d let him down at the most difficult time in his life by not being able to handle it. So that took me a long time and then I was very upset.”

    It makes me sad.

Nick continued: “Every time I thought of him, it made me really upset. And about three months in, I remember thinking to myself, this is just awful. You know, I love my dad; I enjoyed his company; we had great times together and every time I think of him, it makes me sad. I’ve got to switch this around because I wanna think of him and smile.”

Nick’s father ‘pulled his hand away’

Meanwhile, talking to Big Issue in 2016, Nick again spoke about his d3ath. He revealed that when his dad “was older and became ill” Nick tried to tell him how grateful he was to him.

“But he was never very tactile. I remember when he was in hospital after a stroke and I went to see him, took his hand and held it. And he woke up, saw me and pulled his hand away. Because men don’t hold hands,” Nick revealed.

He added: “So now I hug my son all the time, I put my arm around my older sons. I think it’s very important.”

Buckingham Palace ANNOUNCES Heartbreaking News about Prince Andrew

Buckingham Palace has made a major change to their website today after Prince Andrew let go of his duke title on Friday. The prince, 65, will no longer use his Duke of York title as a result of continued accusations made against him following his association with the late convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein – accusations he continues to deny.

    Prince Andrew

In a statement on Friday, Andrew said: “In discussion with The King, and my immediate and wider family, we have concluded the continued accusations about me distract from the work of His Majesty and the Royal Family. I have decided, as I always have, to put my duty to my family and country first.

“I stand by my decision five years ago to stand back from public life. With His Majesty’s agreement, we feel I must now go a step further. I will therefore no longer use my title or the honours which have been conferred upon me. As I have said previously, I vigorously deny the accusations against me.”

    Andrew and Sarah

Following Friday’s announcement, Buckingham Palace has now made a major change on their website regarding Prince Andrew.

While he was previously named Duke of York on the website, he is now simply referred to as Prince Andrew.

This change was made on Monday.

The prince was originally given the Duke of York title by his mother Queen Elizabeth II on his wedding day to Sarah Ferguson, who became Duchess of York, in 1986.

Despite being divorced, Sarah kept this title, but will also no longer be using it since Friday’s announcement.

The decision regarding Andrew’s royal titles being removed has not impacted his daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.

It is believed Andrew decided to drop his dukedom title on Friday after conversations with his brother King Charles, who reportedly warned that action would be taken if he did not give up the title.

The decision to drop his dukedom also comes years after Andrew stopped being a working royal, which was also a result of his previous association with the late convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein, as well as claims he had sexually abused Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre when she was 17. Andrew has always denied such claims.

HEARTBREAK IN SIX WORDS: Dianne Buswell’s Painful Pregnancy REVELATION Leaves Strictly Viewers In SH0CK

    Dianne Buswell

Dianne Buswell has hit back at trolls with a six-word statement, claiming that she has “had enough”. The Strictly Come Dancing star has been competing in the 2025 series alongside Australian actor Stefan Dennis as she continues to wow the judges and audience with some impressive moves despite being pregnant.

The professional dancer and her celebrity partner Stefan Dennis were missing from last weekend’s show after the latter was struck by illness which forced him out of performing during the show’s Movie Week special. However, this week they were back with a bang as they were seen back in the ballroom on Saturday (October 18). The pair gave it their all during a Charleston to Dance Monkey by Tones And I, with some of the judges branding it as their best dance yet. They scored 26 out of a possible 40 for their routine and fans were floored by Dianne’s moves which included cartwheels and fast footwork.

However, despite putting on a dazzling show, not everyone was impressed and Dianne took to Instagram to share some of the harsh criticism that she had received for dancing while pregnant. Posting to her Instagram Stories, she shared a comment which read: “I get so uncomfortable watching Dianne run down the stairs in heels, cartwheel and do tricks while pregnant.

“Your centre of gravity is off while you’re pregnant, just takes one slip to fall on the precious bump. She is a true professional and fabulous dancer but I think it might have been wise to sit this season out. She is 36 so classed as advanced maternal age mother regardless of how fit she is, I think BBC made a mistake here.”

They went on to note that Amy Dowden also competed in the BBC competition last year while facing health issues, as they added: “It just doesn’t make sense. Like it didn’t make sense to give Amy a celebrity partner last year and look what happened there.”

Exasperated, Dianne added her own thoughts as she shared the comment, captioning it: “I have honestly had enough of comments like these.”

Luckily most fans were truly supportive of the dance star and issued words of encouragement instead of criticism. One fan argued: “Literally it’s so annoying and I feel so bad she’s getting all these comments as if she would ever do anything that would harm the baby!

“It would be totally different if she wasn’t a professional dancer doing all this while pregnant, but her body is used to this.”

Another added: “Didn’t Amy get an ankle injury last year? That can happen to anyone nothing to do with having had cancer! Dianne will know and decide for herself if and when she needs to slow down and cut back!” While a third said: “She’s pregnant not sick. I’m sure she has enough common sense to listen to her own body.”

The 36-year-old Australian pro confirmed earlier this month that she and YouTuber Joe Sugg are expecting their first child together. Since then, her supporters have been quick to raise questions about whether she should continue performing some of the show’s more demanding lifts.

Speaking to comedian Chris McCausland on his Winning Isn’t Everything podcast, Dianne explained exactly what her doctor had told her following her pregnancy announcement. She said: “Because we did quite a lot of lifts that were quite high impact. Well, look, I’m still doing everything that I did before. Obviously, with lifts, there’s just going to be a bit more caution.

“But my doctor said that everything is normal. He said, basically, if you’ve done it before, like in terms of you’re a dancer, you’ve done lifts, you’ve done this, you’ve done that, then crack on and keep doing what you were doing.

“He said, because you’ve danced since you were five, literally, this is what your body’s meant to do. He said, you shouldn’t stop what you do. So obviously, with lifts, you just do it with caution.”
