This Morning presenter Alison Hammond has spoken out about the forthcoming “changes” at ITV.
Earlier this year, it was announced that ITV Daytime scheduling and production will undergo significant alterations in 2026.
From January, Good Morning Britain will be extended by 30 minutes to broadcast from 6am to 9.30am daily, and will be transferred to ITV News at ITN’s Gray’s Inn Road headquarters in London for production. Meanwhile, Lorraine, This Morning and Loose Women will continue under ITV Studios’ production and will be transmitted from a fresh central London venue.
Under ITV’s 2026 Daytime timetable, Lorraine will air from 9.30am until 10am on a seasonal basis for 30 weeks annually, which matches the pattern of lead Daytime hosts who present their programmes seasonally rather than year-round.
During periods when Lorraine is off-air, Good Morning Britain will extend from 6am to 10am. This Morning will maintain its weekday 10am to 12.30pm time slot throughout the year, whilst Loose Women will occupy the 12.30pm to 1.30pm slot seasonally for 30 weeks annually – the same schedule it held for over a decade until 2016, reports the Mirror.

Alison, who co-presents This Morning on Fridays alongside Dermot O’Leary, took to her Instagram page on Saturday (December 13) to offer support to her colleagues during this “difficult” period.
Sharing a collection of behind-the-scenes photographs from Friday’s (December 12) programme, Alison wrote: “What a great Christmas Friday at this morning .
“Thanks to our amazing guests @sianwelby @thekatelawler @knackeredmother @johntorodecooks @mattsmith and my partner for past 5 years the legend that is @dermotoleary . Adore and love him so much . Grateful for this team and the incredible work they do.

Alison was flooded with responses from her supporters beneath her message. One admirer wrote: “Brilliant show and guests, great pics.”
Another gushed: “I bloody love you two! ! ! Fridays are the best day of the week! We are always guaranteed a good old laugh and a Dance. Best duo on TV.”
A third viewer declared: “Gorgeous… the dream team.”
Speaking about the alterations, Kevin Lygo, Managing Director of ITV’s Media and Entertainment Division, had previously stated: “Daytime is a really important part of what we do, and these scheduling and production changes will enable us to continue to deliver a schedule providing viewers with the news, debate and discussion they love from the presenters they know and trust as well generating savings which will allow us to reinvest across the programme budget in other genres.
“These changes also allow us to consolidate our news operations and expand our national, international and regional news output and to build upon our proud history of trusted journalism at a time when our viewers need accurate, unbiased news coverage more than ever.”
