Lisa Riley has left fans wondering if she’s secretly married after dropping a huge hint during her exit from the I’m A Celebrity jungle. The Emmerdale actress, 49, was greeted by her long-term partner Al, 55, after being eliminated in a brutal double eviction alongside co-star Jack Osbourne.

Lisa, who celebrated a decade with Al in 2024, has previously discussed how hard it would be to contemplate a wedding without her late mother, who passed away in 2012. However, during an appearance on the I’m A Celebrity spin-off show Unpacked, Lisa referred to Al as her “husband,” sparking speculation that the couple may have tied the knot in private.

When asked by host Joel Dommett about the past 24 hours, Lisa joked about her time in the jungle, mentioning how much she enjoyed being clean and free from her smelly boots. Joel then brought up her emotional moment with Al, and Lisa casually said, “Oh yes, I got a juicy hug with Ant, didn’t I? And it’s caused a bit of fury with my husband, he’s fine.”

Though she quickly clarified that she was joking, the slip-up led many to wonder if the couple had secretly wed. A source close to Lisa later confirmed to The Sun that they are not married, and Lisa uses the term “husband” as a term of endearment.

Lisa has been vocal about her views on marriage, previously expressing her disdain for extravagant weddings. In an interview last August, she shared her frustration with the modern trends of Instagram proposals and costly weddings. She said, “The cost of weddings is ridiculous. People don’t get engaged nowadays, they get Insta-engaged. They spend £400 on the right backdrop for their Instagram picture.”

Despite this, Lisa and Al have celebrated their love in their own unique way, focusing on experiences rather than material wealth. “Being rich isn’t about being financially rich, it’s about seeing the world and discovering new things together,” she said.

While she may not have a wedding ring, Lisa’s recent comments about Al suggest that they’re happy in their own relationship, using terms like “husband” and “wife” even without the formal ceremony. “We are happy as we are,” Lisa concluded, “I don’t see what that day would do.”
