Amber Davies has hit back at a nasty troll who branded the Strictly Come Dancing star “full of herself”.

Amber, 29, spoke out after reading the cruel message on social media midway through yesterday’s rehearsal for the BBC show.

On Sunday, Amber and her Strictly dance partner, Nikita Kuzmin, escaped the Strictly dance-off. They had previously been in the bottom two and Amber cried tears of relief when they made it through to this week.

But the West End star was left upset after receiving the mean jibe as she returned to training. Sharing a screen shot with fans, the female had written: “She’s too full of herself.”

Underneath, Amber had then replied. She told the woman: “I feel like women just simply exist on this earth and people will say, ‘She’s full of herself’.”

Strictly’s Amber Davies hits back at troll

Amber later addressed her followers in an Instagram Stories video and explained her feelings surrounding the post.

She said: “I’m just on a little break from day one of Salsa training. Pray for me. I was kicking myself for posting that comment. I thought, ‘Why have I stooped low?’ And then I went to my DMs.

“The amount of women, incredible women, who have messaged the most supportive messages. I just think, I was meant to do that today. I was meant to see those encouraging messages.

“Women supporting women is one of the best traits that keeps the word going round, I swear. I feel good now, so thank you so much.”

Touching upon her upcoming Salsa, she concluded: “This routine I have to really let go, which is going to be a challenge, because I’m like a cardboard box! But thank you so much.”

Amber had also written a caption on her video that said: “It costs £0 to be nice & lots of incredible women shifted my whole day for the better!!!! Thank you.”

Strictly Come Dancing’s Amber in tears

Amber found herself crying in the Clauditorium during Sunday night’s Strictly Come Dancing: The Results show. The tears came moments after she discovered she was through to Week 7.

The previous week had seen Amber and Nikita land in the dance-off. They went head-to-head with Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and his pro, Lauren Oakley. The judges voted to send the retired footballer and Lauren home.

Amber has since addressed her tearful display and admitted she is an “empath”. Despite her glittering stage career, Amber also says she suffers from imposter syndrome. This is when a person questions their ability to perform a task they are capable of doing.

She explained to fans: “I really didn’t know how tough Strictly was going to be, especially emotionally. If you’re an empath like me you know we feel everything at a 100% capacity.

“Happy tears, sad tears, nervous tears, belly laughing tears.. it’s all part of this journey.”

Amber, who found fame on ITV2’s Love Island, and Nikita are performing a Salsa in this week’s live show. The song chosen for them is You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real) by Sylvester.
