Jeremy Clarkson couldn’t resist a cheeky jibe at Stacey Solomon after his show, Clarkson’s Farm, scooped the Factual Entertainment award at the National Television Awards (NTAs) on Wednesday evening (September 10).
After the win, in the winners’ room, Clarkson quipped to the press: “It’s great that a farming show can beat a house cleaning show,” seemingly referencing Stacey’s Sort Your Life Out. He also claimed during his acceptance speech that his team “worked way harder than anyone else in this room.” This came just hours after the Loose Women panellist criticised the “ludicrous” decision by the organisation to nominate both her shows in the same category. After hearing Magic Radio presenters Tom Price and Lucy Horobin praising her BBC reality show, Stacey and Joe, earlier in the day the Loose Women panellist decided to call in to show her gratitude.

Lucy enquired about Stacey and Joe and Sort Your Life Out competing head to head in the Entertainment category tonight, with Stacey responding: “They’ve put Sort Your Life Out and Stacey and Joe in the same blummin’ category for some reason.
“We’re up against each other which is absolutely ludicrous! But you know what I’m so grateful to just be going, it’s so nice to be shortlisted and nominated knowing that it’s a public vote.”
This isn’t the first occasion Stacey has criticised an awards ceremony, notably slamming the BAFTAs earlier this year after she was once more overlooked for recognition.

The mother of five was again snubbed in Factual Entertainment for Sort Your Life Out there, with Rob and Rylan’s Grand Tour claiming victory.
Posting to her Instagram story the subsequent Monday, Stacey revealed: “Good morning from the veg patch, about to do the morning water. We didn’t win a BAFTA and I know I’m supposed to take it gracefully like a champ but I’ll be honest I’m devastated.
“I’m not handling it very well, I’m not taking it very gracefully. I’m devastated for our whole team like I’m so gutted for our team. Everyone got dressed up and were really hopeful because I think because they work so hard,” Stacey went on, explaining the Sort Your Life Out crew merited a BAFTA.
Nevertheless, she made clear that she wasn’t suggesting others were undeserving of a BAFTA as they “absolutely did.”
