The Morning Show is staying on the air: Apple TV+ has renewed the Emmy-winning drama starring Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon for a fifth season, a day ahead of its Season 4 premiere, TVLine has learned.
“The Morning Show has been a standout from the very start, debuting as one of the flagship series on Apple TV+,” the streamer’s head of programming Matt Cherniss said in a statement. “It’s been incredibly rewarding to see it not only entertain but also resonate with audiences worldwide. Thanks to the outstanding cast and creative team — led by Jennifer, Reese, [showrunner] Charlotte [Stoudt] and [director] Mimi [Leder] — The Morning Show continues to deliver addictively entertaining and provocative stories that we’ve all come to love. We’re excited for viewers to experience the next chapter of this Emmy-winning drama.”
The Morning Show centers on a fictional morning TV talk show and its co-anchors Alex Levy (Aniston) and Bradley Jackson (Witherspoon). The cast also includes Billy Crudup (who has won a pair of Emmys as network executive Cory Ellison), Mark Duplass, Nestor Carbonell, Karen Pittman, Greta Lee, Nicole Beharie and Jon Hamm, who joined the cast in Season 3 as tech billionaire Paul Marks.
Season 4, debuting this Wednesday on Apple TV+, welcomes a host of new cast members, including Aaron Pierre, William Jackson Harper, Boyd Holbrook, Marion Cotillard and Jeremy Irons. For more on the new season, check out our interview with Aniston and Witherspoon:
